"Why is it that, as the female characters on 'Zim' get older, their clothes stay the same size?" This question occured to me one day as I was browsing this site, looking at pictures of Gaz and Tak. As I looked at them I noticed that most of the time whenever they were pictured as teenagers their clothes were always either so tight that it's a wonder they could even breathe, or really freakin' short and barely even there. I just wondered why they never bothered to buy bigger size outfits as they aged 0_oThis little cartoon is not intended to offend anyone, cause a lot of people I know depict Gaz and/or Tak this way and they're always good drawings, and hey, if that floats your boat then fine. Even I've done some sexy-type pictures of the characters, but my beef is I never see Dib or Zim pictured this way. They're always pretty much fully clothed and don't have every part of their anatomy outlined in tight leather. Why is it always the females who get sexed up like this? It just irks me a bit. But it's just my opinion, being a female myself and all *shrugs* Well, whatever, take it or leave it. Or just lighten up and laugh at it, okay?

Yeah, I'll never understand it. And I agree; it sucks that female characters get overtly subjected to fanservice pics while the guys get off scot-free! That's offensive and pretty sexist.

I wouldn't say the guys get off "scot-free." In some cases yes, but I've seen plenty of male characters get objectified, like Thor for example. It's just more common with females is all.

I agree with fully on why as females characters grow older their clothes either get to tight or to short they tend to show off their anatomy more than they want too. And well male characters grow older their clothing style doesn't change at all hardly. It does, being a female myself, bother me.
Wonderful job on both Gaz, and Tak's expressions! Wonderful! Poor Tak...she looks like she's about to faint. O-0

i think its because no one wants to see a GUY in tight clothes. only buff guys, and lets face it, neither dib nor zim have that figure. girls, well, some people like to stare at girls in that attire

i think part of it is the creator jhonen vasquez sometimes does that XP ive seen comics of little girls and then when pictured as teens they still have the same clothes. for him its probably for the lulz
and maybe its just cuz goth clothes for chicks are usually tight, leathery, and small o.O idk
