Description: For a few decades the humans thought they had defeated the alien invaders. However the zyn were merely in hiding underground and in the remotest of locations, gathering strength and numbers. In the 80s a new wave of zyn warriors hit humanity far and wide. Some cities were so badly lost that it seemed better to nuke the zyn within them out of existence, with the city along with it.

This is the first time I've tried something like this. Wanted a night-time shot for the ambience. I used images of mushroom clouds scattered across google images as vague references to give an idea how I should paint it. I'm kind of disappointed with the buildings because I tried to paint them in and every time it came out a garbled mess. This tacky solution of just using a squarish brush and using the transform tool to give perspective actually looks better than my from-scratch attempts.
