Hmm, what to say about this? Probably if you haven't any idea what this is best to visit [link] or check out 's profile.Edit: I'm rather proud of this now, come to think of it.. I didn't think I would be but I am. I'd like to dedicate this to my good friend few people have listened let alone understood the mad stuff that goes on in my head, and the time we've spent chatting has made me feel so much better, and I'm forever in your debt
Time taken in all: a good, solid 8 - 81/2 hours over the past two days. That's actually pretty usual for me now, eh-heh...

When I think about it, a lot of the reason I ended up liking this so much is that it feels like an evolution of your previous taur drawings of Blaze. It feels like you're gradually perfecting your style in terms of drawing her this way.
Firstly...I really like how you've been really consistent about your design for her jacket. It looks similar to the Sega design, but you manage to add a lot of things that help make it feel like something very much your own. I've noticed that I'm growing more attached to that series of round buttons on one side, and the series pointed ones on the other, each time that I see them.
The design overall feels like a much more powerful and muscular version of your previous designs, especially the one from "Operation Ground and Pound." Everything about Blaze seems to have grown more impressive...a longer, leaner, figure, more detailed muscle definition in both her lower torso and her upper one, more detailing in her fur, a more impressive wing span, and even a larger, more impressive tail, which like a charming fusion of feline and canine styles. Even her claws seem a little sharper.
Your take on the "tribal" adornments from previous interpretations of Dragon Heart's design feels like it has a unique touch to it. By which I mean, Blaze herself feels like such a large, powerful creature of epic proportions in this picture, that, more than any other picture I've seen, the accessories she wears come across as very small in comparison. I certainly don't feel that this is a bad thing at all...To me, it makes it interesting that someone who possesses such beauty already would still choose to try and modify her appearance with some small trinkets, perhaps as a way of expressing a part of her identity that she wouldn't normally be able to.
Oh, and congrats on coming up with a new design for the "third eye" on her head. You managed to modify it a bit from the designs of others to make it look like she has an eye within a flame upon her forehead.
The colors are really awesome. There's just so much going on here, so many different shades. I love how Blaze's fur gradually shifts from dark purple, to lilac, to pink depending on where one looks. The deep red and and dark yellow work great on the bands on her forelegs, while the pink bands on her hind legs manage to stand out on their own without blending into her fur.
Blaze's head design seems to evolved quite nicely as well. I've always liked the spikier look that you've used on her ponytail, and I think that it's really neat how it almost looks like a mohawk, here. The larger ears and fluffier cheek fur also help give make her face a little more interesting, in my opinion. I feel like you're getting more used to drawing her facial expressions, too...this more "retro" style Blaze face feels more natural and expressive every time I see it.
Great idea to make the pic as if Blaze were shocked to see Sonic taking a photo. It's nice to see a glimpse of her more awkward side, and I really like how, from her pose and flames, she looks as if she was in the middle of combat practice or a dance.

O.o Wow, you really think it's improved that much? XD
Anyway I'm glad you think the expression is OVA-ish, I'd like to think that it's an important part of my Sonic style

I'd agree that the OVA-ness is an important part of your Sonic style, one that I'm always glad to see.^^
