...DOCTORIN' THE HEDGEHOGS!(or some cool name like that anyway)
This is inspired by ' "Hedgehogs in 30 Minutes" tutorial on Deviantart and youtube. Thank you so much for giving me fresh ideas! This was originally meant to be just like that, a few random expressions, but then I got sidetracked again. It's also based on the cover art of a Sonic comic which is on his main page which has Sonic up on a stage with loads of people cheering.
In this picture, Sonic, Tails (with his crazy scarf) and Knuckles with his OVA movie hat are about to do a rock song with the Doctor and Cyberleader Kroton. Sonic and his friends all do the vocals, while Kroton is on the guitar and the Sixth Doctor plays the drums. I cannot believe I just said that.
This just screams 1986 to me. The song they're about to do could almost be The Final Countdown by Europe, but I have a feeling it would be Heaven Can Wait by Gamma Ray or HIS WORLD
by Zebrahead.I love the fact I got just any old crinkly bit of paper, not thinking it'd turn into anything important...
Time taken: in excess of 11 hours. That's longer than anything I have ever done before.

Haha! That's so epically hair-metal-cheesy '80s it's AWESOME! Although, we all know...Six won't stay at the back of the stage playing the drums for _long_. Ten to one says he starts wrestling the microphone away from Sonic only partway through the first set. (laughs)

Kroton's no ordinary Cyberman. He's the same as ever since that old DWM comic, except he was recaptured and 'upgraded' by his own kind, only to be rescued by 11.

I don't know... it'd be aaaaiiincient... I could look it up. The comics with him in them are called Throwback: The Soul of a Cyberman, plus one other, plus an Eighth Doctor strip which had him in it as well (which would have been awesome!) The first two were made like back in the 70s.

Where did you get stuff like that from? It'd be awesome to have digital copies of the 8th Doctor comics with Kroton in them. I'd probably feel guilty about not buying them somehow though.

Torrents mostly. I found one of DWMs 1-166 and a few besides on this site called Whoshare...unfortunately there's no 8th in there, much to my annoyance.

Boy, that's a lot of detail! I can tell you put a lot of time into this.
I like the spunky, crazy outfit of the guy on the left. Boy, he'd blend into a crowd.
Try adding more contrast to your work. Heavier shadows, brighter highlights, etc. Everything here is very flat and pale, and considering how detailed it is, it comes off as busy rather than complicated.
Also, the hands, on every character, are far too small. Hands, with the fingers spread, should roughly cover your face, not including the forehead. A useful unit of measurement.

Thanks! Well the guy on the left is known as The Doctor (as played by Colin Baker in Doctor Who in the 80s. He's my favourite Doctor)

I still can't believe that before I finished that other picture, I hadn't submitted a single thing since March... just because I spend to much time trying to make a picture, and end up leaving it because I'm unable to colour it...

Sounds like me last year. I didn't really bother coloring things in very often, I seem to remember. If you uploaded half-finished works to your scraps it'd still be better than nothing though, wouldn't it?
