Description
My first (And probably the last) guide, decided to make this after messing around. Any feedback are welcome.----------
Chances are if you are transitioning from GMod to SFM, you will have a lot (I mean A LOT) of models you wish to use in SFM. There is a possibility that some of these models will not show up in SFM.
To fix it, you can try to (You don't need to follow my order, just suit your needs):
- Use Pte Jack's method Β first, which involves moving the model files (Incorrect placement), if this doesn't work, then:
- Use the method provided in this guide, which involves editing the path line, if this doesn't work, then:
- Use RatchetMario's method , which involves shortening the model name (I haven't encountered this problem. Yet.), if this doesn't work, then:
- I dunno, maybe make yourself a cup of tea, and try to pacify your rage.
---------
- If you are having translucent models problem, use this method to fix it, starting from Step 4. It is also a guide for people who's trying to import GMod models for the first time.
- For unpaintable TF2 models, considerΒ this . I haven't tried it, but you can test it out. Some models from GMod are supposed to be paintable, such as Triple Jumper.
---------
Apologies if there's any grammar error.

Hey man. I tried to port my normal TF2 Sniper with cosmetics into Gmod, but somehow the textures are missing no matter how much I tried to change.
Is there anything wrong?

I'm not too sure, maybe you can check the path $CDMaterials for any inconsistencies in the .qc file.

The path for the CDmaterials is correct. I also checked everything in the .vmt files but still have missing textures.
I can send you the files if you don't know what I am talking about.
