This mech picture was created for my book of fantasy vehicles, which was my final unit at college. the text that went with it says:

Mechanoids, or Mechs; are a type of bipedal walking robot. They have a wide variety of potential uses in transportation in both military and civilian roles. Their ability to walk like a human gives them extra stability on multiple terrain types. Here we see but two uses for this double legged form of locomotion...
... The second use we see here is as a military attack robot. The increased agility allowed by the bipedal system gives this robot an advantage over conventional forms of transport.
