Although the Grey Wolf still faces some threats, its relatively widespread range and stable population trend mean that the species does not meet, or nearly meet, any of the criteria for the threatened categories. Therefore, it is assessed as Least Concern.
The IUCN Red List lists grey wolves as Least Concern.
And do you know how many vulnerable, endangered, and critical amphibians there are?

most people arent saying save the wolves because they are endangered they are saying because of how hated they are and the fact that they are still being driven from their natural environments which was at one time nearly all of north and central america, all of europe and most of asia, and even some parts of africa and south america. Grey wolves arent endagered any more but the mexican wolf, red wolf, Arabian Wolf, Caspian Sea Wolf, Egyptian Wolf, Indian Wolf, Ethiopian Wolf, Eastern Wolf, Tundra Wolf, Maned Wolf, and artic wolf are. and the above information was from [link] if you dont believe me.

I can see both sides to the argument, wolves are not nearly the most endangered species in the world. However if everyone stopped caring and the protection was lifted from them, they would probably go extinct rather quickly because they are the most popular scapegoat species I've ever seen.

Prey are important because in an ecosystem the predators that are wiped out can easily be replaced. Coyotes for example can hold down in place of bears and wolves. Imagine if all deer died.... Save the prey animals. Go Macedonian Grayling
