Although the Grey Wolf still faces some threats, its relatively widespread range and stable population trend mean that the species does not meet, or nearly meet, any of the criteria for the threatened categories. Therefore, it is assessed as Least Concern.
The IUCN Red List lists grey wolves as Least Concern.
And do you know how many vulnerable, endangered, and critical amphibians there are?

I agree with this stamp. Wolves are not endangered here. Some species of wolves may be "at risk" or "edgy", but that does not completely classify them as being "OMG THEY'RE GUNNA DIE U GUYZZZ LOL NO WAI". Seriously...people need to stop being so butthurt. There are other, more critical species that may ACTUALLY die in a few years (Harpie Eagle, Condor, Burrow Owl...). Oh ya, and the one species that we mainly rely on...BEES.

Well, actually SOME wolf subspecies are endangered, but the grey wolves aren't. Not at all. The wolves in Europe, Africa and asia ofter are badly endangered, the same goes for about every type of wild dog. I agree that there are other animals that are far more endangered, and that deserve attention too.

Well, European wolves as a whole are not endangered, but they are in certain localities. Spain has Western Europe's largest wolf population (6000 I think), while Italy has 800.
The majority of controversy comes from Scandinavia, but then again, these are all migrating Russian wolves, and Russia has the world's largest wolf population

Ok EVERY SINGLE ONE of you don't know anything about the people who care about wolves!!! Yes there are some people who only care about Grey wolves, but thats only because that they are little kids (WHO DON'T KNOW THAT MUCH!!) And we "WOLFABOOS" are only trying to defend ALL the wolves ok? Not just the Grey wolves, and we know abou the Ethopian wolves, Mexican wolves, Egyptain, European, ECT. We are NOT just fawning over the grey wolves. And if we saw a picture of an of those wolves, we'd know what they were, we wouldn't just go "Durr thats just a fugly coyote." Because guess what, we have feelings. Yes we care about greys, but you shouldn't just talk smack about us because we care OK? Becuase guess what? WE care, WE arn't talking about you for saying rude things about us are we? No, because we are better natured than that. If what you say about us is true... then what are you then? Think about people, and how they would feel before you write stuff or think stuff about them ok? It's mean, and we don't treat you like that do we? This is an old post but still...
We're not saying all people who love wolves are 'stupid' or 'wolfaboos'. But there are some extreme ones who say thigs like: save the wolves, kill the hunters!! Humanity is bad!!1 and take it way too far.
And you'd be surprised how few know about the Ethiopian wolf, Egyptian wolf etc. 90% of wolf fans here on Da doesn't! Of course there are some who do, but only very few from what I've seen here on Da. Many over obsessed wolf fans DO say rude things. VERY rude things like: 'there should be a human Holocaust with only weres and theriantropes remaining!' And that's a real comment that can be found here on Da. I've even read a comment of someone who wanted to kill all poachers and sell their skins on Ebay! And the person was serious about it. How's that NOT RUDE? There are even people who litterally say: 'screw all other animals, save the wolves!' So most of them don't care about endangered animals.
There are many people who do talk about stuff like 'we' do. And that's exactly why stamps like these are being made.

You know, it's interesting. Someone made a stamp saying how their favorite animal of choice was so much more endangered than grey wolves. Currently this is very true, however, in spite of my trying to tell them such anti-animal speech did nothing to convince anyone to stop caring about their favorite animal, they didn't get it. In fact, they told me "have you see the wolfaboos on this site"? What does that have to do with you supporting your favorite animal.
If people are idiots about their favorite animal, why bash the animal? People love kittens, and they grow up to be tossed out of the house to hunt down and torture (not even kill) MY favorite animals that I wind up treating for horrible injuries. You don't see me making banners telling them "F- your cat love!" because people don't understand. Yelling at them does nothing.
It's the internet. I shouldn't be surprised when passion is so disgustingly misdirected. But can we just donate to our favorite causes without being judged?
You love wolves. I respect that. And what you've said here, though as lengthy as anything I've ever written when empassioned about a matter that hits a personal chord, was well-said enough to make a point.
I wish everyone would think on this: while you were all fighting about how one animal was "so totally not" endangered compared to less "pretty" customers that deserve as much respect, they were all dying or still in need of help they never saw.
If we had it out way, the petty arguments that ultimately add up to nothing would stop, and the donations would flow.

Ok here we go again. I told you that people have their own choices to love wolves or not. And Mexican GREY wolves are endangerd. There are other kinds of wolves out there that are endangerd.
