Although the Grey Wolf still faces some threats, its relatively widespread range and stable population trend mean that the species does not meet, or nearly meet, any of the criteria for the threatened categories. Therefore, it is assessed as Least Concern.
The IUCN Red List lists grey wolves as Least Concern.
And do you know how many vulnerable, endangered, and critical amphibians there are?

- Himalayan Wolf

- Eastern Wolf
- Egyptian Wolf
Damndest thing, most of these wolves live in Asia and Europe. They're not the big shaggy wolves wolfaboos fawn over. In fact, I bet if you asked them about any of these wolves they'll just lie out of their asses and pretend to know what they're talking about.

Agreed. None of the truly endangered wolf species resemble the big shaggy wolves that 'Wolfaboos' fawn over. In fact I'm pretty sure if you showed one a picture of one of the species you've listed they'd go 'Durrr thats just a fugly Coyote'. -_-

I agree with you, except that it depends on the species of wolf. I love wolves, but they are SO FUCKING obsessed over that they are all many people even care about. No one seems to care as much about the animals that are REALLY in danger, and a lot of stupidasses think that they grey wolf is endangered because a number of people shoot them and because of the sarah palin thing.
But still there are certain species of wolves that are endangered (most of which 'wolfaboos' don't know about), therefore your stamp is somewhat inaccurate. But I still like the idea behind it.

Of course-- there are some that are endangered, whose protection I'm behind one-hundred percent. P: However, most people leap right to grey wolves when you say 'wolves', so it was really just a matter of convenience.

Odds that wolves as a whole will ever go extinct because of us are very slim. The odds that some specific subspecies of gray wolf could go extinct, however, are much better.
