Description
A slow witted creature, but one of the few villains in Redwall ever to turn good, though he really wan't all that bad to begin with. Blaggut is in the book the "The Bellmaker"It seems I've been drawing a lot of rodents lately

Awww, he looks so hilariously thick and adorable!
There's not enough of Blaggut... and he seems to be the only "reformed vermin" I know of where redemption doesn't equal death (as with Veil or Romsca)

He's so cute. I read most of the RedWall books. I'm halfway done with one of the newer books, but I should read it again though.

Out of all the characters in that book, Blaggut pulled my heartstrings ^^ I thought I was the only one who drew him. This is very detailed, great work!

I never got much into Redwall, but rodents are indeed fun to draw. My roommate has a pet rat. They are spookily smart little critters.

It's been a while since I've read that one, but from what I remember I felt that the reason he was being so bad is because just about everyone expected him to be bad. But like I said it's been a while.

I see we have similar views on poor Veil there.
Indeed, I also considered that young ferret a tragic case of the typical Redwall-prejudice against "vermin" - everyone was like "No good'll come of this 'un!" And they behaved like their presuppositions were correct. The outcome: one self-fulfilled prophecy!
Pretty sure I'd also have tried poisoning Friar Bunfold if he'd twisted my ear for accusing me without evidence... though, in my case, only non-fatally with a small dose of arsenic... enough for stomach-aches all round!
