After an unpleasant meeting, Flystar accepted that ShadowClan would bury all of ThunderClan. Seedstar insisted on WindClan helping as well. While Bitterstar wanted little part in it, she begrudgingly agreed on sending one RiverClan patrol to help after enough insistence (and yelling) from Seedstar.

It was during that burial patrol, that Cherrypaw was found — or rather, came to us. There was immediately buzz among our weary burial party — excitement, confusion, condolences... I think after facing all the death in ThunderClan, everyone was mostly just happy to see a sign that maybe… it wasn’t all lost.

But eventually, Seedstar stepped forward, silencing everyone and saying that there was something very important needed from Cherrypaw, before anything else:

An explanation of what happened.

Cherrypaw, underneath the attention of dozens of cats, quietly explained how she was out of camp one night to gather herbs. And when she returned she found everyone dead. She didn’t know how or why. Panicked, she ran away as fast as she could, afraid that whatever killed those in camp would soon kill her. She admitted to hiding on RiverClan territory before moving back to ThunderClan territory some days later. Never returning back into camp until she noticed all of us gathered there.

And so, it seemed she didn’t know anything more than we did, unfortunately.

It pained me, in some dread-filled way, watching how deathly still Cherrypaw stood as she recounted what happened… she looked nothing but numb… focused on breathing…

Cherrypaw was a shy, nervous cat — as far as I knew her at least. Admittedly I’ve only ever interacted with her maybe... two or three times? Just simple greetings. Any interaction was overshadowed by her much more nosy (and curt) mentor anyhow. Yet, Cherrypaw still stood out in her own way, always covered in mint leaves, her favorite choice of herb adornment — I always figured that the smell comforted her. It made sense, with how she had even more leaves weaved into her pelt now…

But as I listened and watched, I couldn’t shake the sense that there was something she wasn’t telling us. I saw the cobwebs spread under the mint. Hidden. I could almost see outlines of the dark scratches underneath. Or was that just shadows playing a trick on my eyes?

Was Cherrypaw really not in the camp when ThunderClan was attacked? Or is there something else we should be worried about?

And why won’t she just tell us?

I wasn’t able to ask Cherrypaw those questions, not yet with Seedstar, Barkvine, and Foxcry all fussing over her. And maybe… it wouldn’t be a good time to confront her anyway. She was so shaken up, first with what happened and now all this attention... Honestly, I might have kept some things secret too.

But I need to ask her, whenever I have the chance.

Finally.. another card.. this time of an unexpected survivor. So.. it would seem ThunderClan isn't COMPLETELY dead. Well, if one living cat counts as a Clan.

Since I might not have time to write out the lore today, I'm just uploading this image now because I'm impatient lol. Hopefully I will have the lore done soon and then I'll update this with it.

As usual with my "ThunderClan is Dead" story, info here is subject to change as I work on all the details. (Cherrypaw's age might change in particular since I've been back and forth on it.)

Edit: Finally........... I have added the lore. I feel like I might be touching up this one in the future though, to make it flow better.
