  Flystar has been the leader of ShadowClan for 20 moons or so. He may not have lost a single life yet, though I’m not completely sure.

  Flystar has always seemed so… distant. He announces meetings, he orders the clan… but so often he is just absent. Out hunting or lingering in his den. Swallowfang has told me he’s always been quite private… “He prefers silence” is how she described it, “he’d become a loner in a heartbeat, if only we’d let him.” She’d chuckled at her own jab. I guess Swallowfang didn’t mean it too seriously, she seems one of the few cats Flystar will willingly talk to.

  I often wonder why he became leader or even why he agreed to become a deputy. Flystar barely talks to anyone and never approaches Barkvine or me about any signs from StarClan. But from what I hear, he’s always been the most skilled hunter in the Clan. And I guess he handles organizing the Clan well enough. He doesn’t rush into battles and hesitates to interact with any other Clan unnecessarily… Despite how aloof he seems, I wouldn’t call him a bad leader. I suppose I just wonder if he even wants to be one.

  What does Flystar want then? To be a loner like Swallowfang said? I don’t understand why I feel so strongly that there’s something more here. A sense that there’s something else... And I just feel exhausted trying to figure it out…

  It feels like something is buried - something is hidden.

Reminder that these descriptions are prone to being changed as I hammer out the details of the story. Ages are especially in a foggy area. But hey, the whole thing may change if I decide on a different direction for the character.

Anyway, here's another card for my new Warriors story idea. Had to remake the format stuff on the new computer so the text is probably off compared to Brightgaze's card, but hopefully it'll be consistent from here on out.
