Shorestalker is Queen Myriad Splash's SharkScale 'son'

Shorestalker isn't really referred to as a prince though, since he's a SharkScale and Queen Myriad never said officially she'd adopted him, even though she treats him like she did. Shorestalker is pretty young, maybe around 6, but in comparison to ShoreScales his age he's quite bigger, because he's a SharkScale.

Shorestalker has grown up in this weird situation where his mom adores the fact that he's a SharkScale, while most everyone else either fears or dislikes him because of it. He's never actually interacted with other SharkScales though and only knows parts of it's culture or language from what his mother knows and taught him. Shorestalker has actually come to resent the nearby pods that torment and hunt ShoreScales - especially when he's lost a friend to them and seen others lose loved ones too.

Even though a lot of ShoreScales are scared or unsure of him, Shorestalker really wants to earn others' trust as SharkScale friend - not enemy, and as a consequence he's willing to go a lot out of his way to please others. He likes being included in a lot of ShoreScale things or events and he collects all colors of scaleshells that he can (though other ShoreScales can find that weird since the scales are usually supposed to be thrown out).
Queen Myriad taught him how SharkScales make necklaces out of the scales and Shorestalker enjoys making them (at this point he's probably made a collection).

Climbing in and out of places with the arm fins and no good climbing claws is a struggle for Shorestalker, but living his entire life up to this point climbing around makes him much more experience than any other SharkScale, so he manages. Steep cliffs are pretty much impossible for him though and sometimes he's had to find or make alternate routes around the caves. (This is probably more reason for ShoreScales to distrust him though, since now he could tell these routes and tips for how to climb to other SharkScales)
Shorestalker doesn't know how to write, like ShoreScales he understands pictures and art instead. He likes drawing ShoreScales and using lots of different colors (which aren't easy to find or make, but he has access to the royal stash) to make portraits of others especially.

Hatching and growing up mostly out of water has made Shorestalker's scales more resistant to being dry or hot than SharkScales living underwater all the time. But Shorestalker might have some trouble handling high pressures of deep ocean, something most SharkScales are fine with.

He's probably been teased as 'Shorehugger' before.

Shorestalker might have once ambushed and killed a young SharkScale who came around looking to hunt a ShoreScale before. He ran away from where it happened, which was a little farther out from the caves, and hasn't told anyone about it since. He just wants SharkScales to stop terrorizing ShoreScales.

Anyway, that's Shorestalker. Hopefully he makes sense lol
Also it took a while to finish him because I kept trying to draw him in the style I did the other Chimarra npcs, but it just wasn't working out so I gave up into this sketchy style again
