GAHH this took way too long to complete. But here! This is a family tree for Squall’s (and Thunder’s) family. Turns out they’re related.

Quick Key:
Fire Symbol = they have full firebreath
Fire Symbol + = they have strong firebreath
Halved Fire Symbol = they have firebreath sometimes (MudWing firebreath basically)
Crossed Out Fire Symbol = they have fire resistant scales
Bubble Symbol = they have working gills/can breathe underwater

I would also include MudWing holding breath stuff, but I have no idea what symbol I would do for that so it’s not important right now okay.

I would write some really long story here but no.
Instead this:

Inferno – Full SkyWing
-A terrible and handsome guy, who comes from a very wealthy family (possibly some royal blood.) He works as a general, and thanks to his families influence he’s quite respected despite not actually being involved in anything major.
-Considered quite attractive and exotic thanks to his bright scales and flame-like markings on his wings.
-Literally cannot help himself from romancing any lady who shows interest in him, even when he officially had a wife (Gleam.) He just kept it all a secret from her. (she could figure out some of it though)
-Was married fairly early on, mostly to help his image somewhat as a respectable guy or something. Of course he married a pretty dragoness though. And they had a modest house to live in.
-He actually has poor fertility, which probably helps his endeavors more than anything.
-Of course he was smart enough to avoid having any bastard dragonets happen from his affairs, but accidents (like Magpie) happen.
-Didn’t spend much time with his legitimate daughter or wife.
-Burned his daughter, Wildfire’s, face in anger after he learned that she had been poisoning dragons.
-Was killed by his daughter and her boyfriend in his own home. He was choked and his face burned until nothing remained.

Gleam – Full SkyWing
-A pretty, but lonely dragoness. She was a talented musician in many instruments, and earned money playing music at parties or other gatherings. She wasn’t famous by any means, but she enjoyed just making lovely music.
-She struggled quite a bit from depression of some sort; sometimes she felt nothing else made her happy but music (and Wildfire, when she hatched)
-Fell for Inferno’s charm at party she was playing at. She was fairly young, he was handsome and he had complemented her playing – why wouldn’t she fall for him? He seemed so genuine at the time…
-It didn’t take long for his charm to wear off on her after they married. Gleam would have considered a divorce, but his wealth offered her a stability she didn’t have before and if she was having an egg, Gleam believed this stability would be better for a dragonet. So Gleam resigned herself to being an unwanted wife and focused on music; ignoring whatever her husband did.
-She still didn’t have any idea of the extent of Inferno’s affairs, until she started to figure more and more out. She couldn’t help but feel betrayed, especially after having Wildfire.
-Gleam had a terrible sleep cycle, often staying up days and then just sleeping for days. She always seemed tired.
-Loved her daughter more than anyone else in the world, and just wanted nothing but the best for her.
-After Wildfire, Gleam started arguing more and more with Inferno whenever he was around, just because he never spent any time with Wildfire. Gleam would feel so guilty afterwards, if she realized Wildfire was listening.
-Gleam was concerned when Wildfire’s grades started decline and couldn’t help but blame herself.
-She also was always worried about Wildfire’s friendship with Thresher, but Gleam didn’t feel like it was fair to tear them apart. This was Wildfire’s only real friend after all.
-After finding out that Inferno had a bastard dragonet (Magpie) for 6 years! And even before Wildfire hatched! Gleam was furious – but when she found out Wildfire had… poisoned some of Inferno’s affairs, Gleam was just… broken. How did her daughter turn out like this? It had to be her fault…
-Not long after the reveal, Gleam hid away and broke down. She wrote a final note and hid it near Wildfire’s room, just for her to find. And then Gleam ended her own life, via Wildfire’s own poisons.

Kite – Full SkyWing
-A dainty and somewhat ditzy lady. She comes from a well-off family and inherited some of it herself. But she spent most of her time getting more money or pretty jewelry from dragons/dragonesses willing to buy her some. Kind of a gold digger, but she’s really not that manipulative or anything.
-Frequents fancy gatherings, which is how she had met Inferno, who would become one of her favorite relationships. He had a lot of money to spare and he was handsome! Not to mention his charm!
-She liked him so much she ended up having an accidental egg with him. She didn’t mind too much though, she would love the dragonet all the same.
-She was kinda aware that Inferno wasn’t loyal to her, but that never really mattered to Kite. She certainly wasn’t aware of Gleam specifically though.
-After having Magpie, she would see Inferno less often, somewhat to her disappointment but oh well. Plenty of birds in the sky.
-Was poisoned to death by Wildfire.

Wildfire – Full SkyWing
-Daughter of Gleam and Inferno, inherited his strong fire, wing markings and bright colors. But grew to hate him and everything he did to her mom.
-Learned how to play some instruments from her mother; wasn’t very passionate but it was relaxing sometimes.
-Spent a lot of time alone or just bored at parties her mom brought her to. But at one party, she went outside and met a SeaWing dragonet that she became friends with and insisted on meeting again. He was so much better than all those other SkyWings her age.
-Learned how to make poison from Thresher and helped him burn the head of a shark for fun one time. Thresher mutilating animals was kinda weird to her, but it was just so different from her lonely, polished life. She just wanted to spend all her time with him instead.
-When Inferno heard of her spending so much time with a SeaWing, he grounded her and forbid her from interacting anymore. But she hated him anyway so she and Thresher would still leave notes for each other.
-Wildfire figured out more details about her father’s affairs and started poisoning them for revenge.
-When Inferno found out, he caused a big scene in their house; yelling at Wildfire while Wildfire told him and Gleam all that she figured out. And that this is what he and they deserved. Inferno then burned her badly.
-Wildfire later, found the note from her mother, and found out that Gleam killed herself. Wildfire was just so upset and confused. In the note, Gleam expressed her concern about Wildfire’s relationship with Thresher, and that Thresher might be a bad influence on her. But after reading everything, Gleam ran away from home to find Thresher.
-Showed the note to Thresher, and after he read it, he tore it apart. And told Wildfire she would be okay. Wildfire knew who really caused her mom so much distress – it was all her dad’s fault. And now Thresher would help her get revenge.
-Afterwards, they agreed to stay together forever and became criminals.
-Wildfire died from a SandWing sting to the mouth, while they were jumped on by a group of SandWings who kidnapped their son. Thresher tried to give her anti-venom, but it was too late.

Thresher – Full SeaWing
-A nasty guy with murderous tendencies. Mutilated animals as a kid and has only gotten worse since.
-Was an orphan that no one wanted.
-Wildfire was absolutely the only dragon he loved.
-Is out for fucking revenge on those who killed her and took their son.
-He’s going to tear them apart.
-Isn’t dead yet, bitches.
-In the story, he might kidnap Aster so she can lead him to where Squall is. So look forward to that?

Squall – Sky/Sea Hybrid
-more on him in other stuff, I’m too lazy

Magpie – Full SkyWing
-A terrible guy just as obsessed with money as his mom, but without the charm to get it out of other dragons (not that he’d even want to, romance is gross)
-Knew of Inferno from his mom, and even though she spoke pretty well of him, Magpie couldn’t help but dislike him. (Especially since he’s never been there for him.) Magpie just felt like he had to be better than this Inferno.
-Makes wealth by smart business decisions and deals. This has led him to some darker partnership and allies with questionable (to downright wrong) morals. But they were allies with money, which was all that would matter.
-More on Magpie and Opossum’s relationship on a later date. But the only reason he decided to have eggs with her is so he could profit off of selling exotic hybrid dragonets. That doesn’t go to plan, despite him offering Opossum his house and everything.

Opossum – Full MudWing
-Sneaky thief girl who, thanks to her tendency to get into trouble, has left her siblings behind.
-She’s quite playful and usually dislikes dragons who take things too seriously. But at the same time her “playing” can sometimes just borderline on lying…
-Likes pretty gems and jewelry. She can’t keep a lot though, much to her dismay.
-Actually a pretty good cook. (I almost typed “a pretty cook good” ha)
-Once she figured out why Magpie wanted dragonets, she decided to make sure not all the dragonets were his (tainting the outcome with a dirty MudWing like Buddy) and then she ran away after Magpie found out, taking the eggs with her.
-Mmm, more on her later I think.

Buddy – Full MudWing
-Yes that’s his real name and he hates it but whatevs
-One of Opossum’s ol’ crime buds
-He’s not that bright, but he’s big and sTRONG
-Likes to eat his greens
-He works at a bar probably
-He’s not that important to the story right now, he’s just here

Okay, I’m just gonna leave this here for now. I’ll get around to updating with Swift/Thunder’s siblings and half-siblings. I’m pooped.
