Hey there!I'm back with my second tutorial! Were going back a little though with this one on teaching the basics in photoshop.
I've put this tutorial together for everyone and anyone new to photoshop or still not sure where certain things are and what all those crazy windows are for.
If the interface of Photoshop looks different from yours it's because I'm using version CS2, and you may have an older version, but you can still find most of the tools and windows in the tutorial so don't panic too much
.I plan on contuing with the tutorial so stay tuned if you want to learn more.
This includes: cleaning lineart(line paper, color paper, line paper), layers, Filters, advanced coloring.
I hope this tutorial was helpful.
I spent at least 3 hours on it x_x which is pretty long for me. I didn't plan on spending this much time but got into it as I was making it

aww, which version of corel you have? painter 11 the new one? or corel essentials?
I think corel painter 11's interface is a lot more intense compared to adobes(just with all the brushes alone, haha) but I think the more you learn about either one of them you can pick up how to use the other program better. Corel takes a lot of playing around and experimenting. it may be frusturating and confusing at first but don't give up >3

I've never used gimp but when I first used Photoshop my first thought was "what do all these windows do!?" "how do I draw!?" "layers?! WHAT IS THAT!?" haha it's really confusing at first but after exploring and experimenting with different tools you learn a lot fast :3

its an easier program to use, but less tools ~
its really fun to use, less complicated and more compact than ps<33

Always curious about different programs although I mainly stick to photoshop I'd still like to try Sai.

This is a very useful tutorial! I'm about to get photoshop and there are squillions of tutorials out there, but none for frightened newbies like me... so thank you! The burn tool looks awesome useful, and so does the lassoo one... ^-^

great tut.! Just one question: which version of PhotoShop are you working with, because I have 5.0 and I'm not sure if mine even has the animating window.

Only the newer versions of Photoshop (CS, CS2, and CS3) have the animation feature. Everything else should be similiar though.
