A figure appeared out of no where, displaying a dark blue cloak, quickly making it's way over to the three teens. Kevin and Ben automatically readied themselves for another attack. But the intruder stopped, and quickly removed the large hood from the top of it's head, taking a good look around the now, half destroyed ware house. Quietly letting out a small snicker of amusement, and offering a gentle hand to the young anodite.

"Gwendolyn? Come here dear.... We have much to talk about."

Kevin and Ben's brows furrowed in irritation. With how things went the first time they met the older anodite, they both feared Verdona was here to take Gwen, end of story.

The two boys looked to each other, both scared for the young girl. Kevin was first to stand infront of Gwen, Ben immediately followed.

"Your not takin' her Verdona. We've already played this game." The older teen hissed. Anger bestowing itself across his already cold features.

Verdona smiled. "Oh hush, Calvin." As she waved her hand whispely in the air, not caring of the boy's little threat in the slightest. "I'm strictly here for my Grandaughters well being. Nothing more."

Kevin hesitated on moving, and continued his heated glare towards the older woman, standing his ground, firmly.

"Your just going to have to trust me." Verdona said. As she tried to pass around the two boys. Ben on the other hand, believed that Verdona was speaking the truth, and spoke up. "Kevin." The hero sighed. "Let her through."

"What?!" Kevin said in astonishment. He couldn't believe his own ears. "Are you sayin' you trust her?! The old hag can't even get my own name right! And you wanna let her get close to Gwen? She'll take her Ben, and then what? We just let her walk out of here? On her merry way? It's not happenin'!"

Ben was trying to reason with his friend. "This is the best option we have of helping Gwen, Kevin. If we don't let her help, then we may lose her forever..... I trust she's here on good intentions." The hero sighs. "What else do we have?"

"See? The boy speaks the truth deary." Verdona pats the older boy on the shoulder. "Now, let me help. I can fix this."

The older boy takes in a deep breath, moving out of the woman's way. "Fine.... But the first sign of a double cross-"

"You will be the first to know, I assure you." Verdona said sweetly as she passed the two boys, towards her grandaughter. The teen's could only stand their and watch the old woman pass. Ben was right. They were running out of options to save Gwen. So far, Verdona was their only chance.

"Gwendolyn?" Verdona softly spoke, grabbing the young girl's wrist with one hand, while placing the other one on Gwen's rosed glowing cheek. "We'll have you better in no time sweety. I promise."

Gwen still looked confused. The older anodite sensed this, and continued. "Do you even remember who I am?"

The once beautiful red head hung her face down in shame. Almost afraid to answer, but did so all the same. "Sort of.... Your familiar, but, I just can't place you."

"It's alright, Gwendolyn... Now, think real hard. Look at my face, and dig down deep sweety. You will remember. Just calm yourself, and channel your energy to me."

Gwen did as told, and in a small meditative state, she started to channel her energy through Verdona. It played out as though it was a small elegant dance the two were sharing. Memories of the young girls life, playing like a song on a record between them, as if the two of them became one. Pink hues of light beaming throughout the walls of the dimly lit ware house, cascading in all different directions. The light was so intence, that Kevin and Ben had to sheild their own eyes.

Only minutes had passed, and the two levitated back to the hard cement surface. Kevin and Ben couldn't register at what they had seen. During their meditative state, Gwen had returned back to normal, and her bright green eyes had shot open in rememberance. "Grandma!"

"That's right!" Verdona chuckled. "And this is only the beginning... Now, I'm going to get right to the point here." The woman leans in closer to her grandaughter. "Have you been forgetting to meditate?"

The young girl hesitated, stuttering, and began stammering. "Well... Ya see, the thing is..."

"Gwendolyn." Verdona said in warning. "It's important that you meditate often. If you don't. The chances of you losing control of your powers greatly increases."

"I know." The red head said in disappointment. "But lately, we've been so busy with alien invasions, and school. Not to mention karate, and-"

Verdona puts a hand up in order to stop Gwen's rambling. "There's no excuse when it comes to this. You must make the time." She turns to the boy's behind her pointing her finger sternly at them. "And you Clarence, and Ben, make sure she takes the time to meditate."

"Sure will Grandma." Ben says as he smiles. Greatful knowing Gwen was going to be alright.

Kevin elbows Ben in the ribs. "Yeah, Benji. Why didn't you make sure Gwen meditated or whatever."

"OW!" Ben cringes on Kevin's sharp blow. "What?! She's your girlfriend! Why should I have to?!"

"Just cuz." Was all Kevin said before he walked up to Verdona, while plastering a huge moronic grin upon his lips. "Look... Uh... I just wanted to thank-"

"No need." The older woman said, as she held up her hand to stop the boy. "Gwendoylyn is my grandaughter after all. I would've done anything for her. You should know that by now.... Kevin." Verdona winked at the boy, and in a flash of light disappeared into the night.
