Dexter's mom. Probably one of the COOLEST fuckin' women ever created. Genndy really hit the nail on the head with her. Screw being the first woman president, or whatever it is that women think they have more right to be than men, THIS is the woman I wanted to model myself after. Productive, caring, authoritative, disciplinary, hardworking, surprisingly intelligent and motherly, and an ass you could yell to the higher heavens from, THIS was what I wanted to be when I was a kid.
And I still do.
Anyway, yes, Dexter's mom was my idol and role model. Take THAT, feminists.

Somebody running a livestream introduced me to this show like a year ago, and it's hilarious!Β Much of the time.Β Then some episodes are so brain-twisting that I can't believe it was a kids' show.Β
Anyway, nice wholesome cartoon art.

Like that trip of an episode where Dexter goes on an expedition through Dee Dee's room.Β Or the one where the parents believe everything the parrot says but don't notice there's a parrot there.Β Or the one where the parents call everything by the name on the label that's stuck to it.Β Or that time Dexter's mom thinks he's inside the fridge because she saw a ham that resembled his head, and that doesn't bother her at all.Β Actually I guess most of the weird stuff about that cartoon is that the kids' parents are dangerously insane.
