Description
idk, I love how some of those cartoony video game characters look. The ones that are designed to fit their purpose in the game. Nolan punches and kicks, he's a brawler type character, so he only shows it in his gloves. He's also an adventurer type character and I try to make it seem like that with the clothes he wears.Anyway, the quality is low because I forgot that open canvas saves everything at the lowest possible quality. asdf bugs the hell outta me.
I wanted to draw him how he would look in one of those game magazines. You know how they post the character in the corner, when they have promotional pages for games.
So yah, that's why he has such a clichΓ© pose lol

I've already heard it all. He looks like rachet, he looks like pikachu, yadda yadda yadda. To be honest, I don't care. I kept his design because it best fits what I want in the male hero character. And NO he's not based off of anything but the typical style of klonoa characters. He's not a FAN character, but the style is somewhat derived from it. And yes, I cut and pasted the wrong description from my SA.
If you're not going to give any constructive, worthwhile crit, don't comment.

Sorry about that. Yeah, I didn't even think about it, but he does remind me of Klonoa.
Don't get me wrong, I do like the style and everything. I can see this guy being a very likable character.
Are you planning on doing anything more with him or is he here just for a little test-pose-thing?
If you do plan on taking him further, I would suggest giving him something to make him stand out. A signature pose, some clothing item no one else wears, I dunno.

Um, no. The design is final and the script has been set for the comic.
He's in this pose because I wanted something simple and somewhat like a promotional picture you would see in a video game magazine.
Adding little bits and pieces isn't a good way to try to make a completely original character. Sonic fans who make fan characters tend to use that philosophy and it usually ends in failure. Especially since most aren't that creative anyway.
