Description Violette had been punching a tree since the battle with the Primal Swellow ended. At first, she was going at it with all of her strength, but as time passed it had just become a repetitive motion to help her deal with her feelings. She really wasn’t putting her weight behind it anymore.

“Hey,” said Pack.

Violette continued punching. Her knuckles were starting to get sore. That felt a little better than letting Arthur and Maris down. She was supposed to look after Arthur, and she let him get knocked out. She punched the tree a bit harder.

“I’m talking to you,” said Pack. “If you don’t want to talk now, I might not be in the mood to say what I want to say. Now stop punching the tree and listen.”

Violette exhaled sharply and turned around to look at the Stunky.

“I’m sorry,” muttered Pack. “Arthur ran off after I goaded you into showing off. It’s partially my fault that he got hurt too.”

“I fell for it,” said Violette. “I was there.”

“Quit being so hard on yourself. We are all supposed to be working as a team. That has to be why Rosette and Maris sent us. We all made mistakes.”

Pack sighed and sat down. She gestured for Violette to sit next to her, and she did so.

“And, I’m not used to teams,” said Pack. “Deck and I don’t work together. It’s impossible to take him seriously. Plus, this is bigger and more dangerous than anything I’ve ever been in.”

“Same here,” said Violette. She pulled her knees into her chest. “These Pokemon are way more dangerous than anything I thought I’d fight.”

“I just want to be with Rosette and have Larry and Clair to do all of the work.”

“Now that sounds like you. I was afraid you were growing soft on me.”

“Nope.” Pack looked at Violette and narrowed her eyes. “And if you breathe a word about this to anyone, especially Deck, you will regret it.”

“Fine,” said Violette. She stretched her arms. “But, I like you better when you’re like this.”

“Can it,” she said. She got up and stretched. “You have a claw attack. Show me.”
