Description Here be the Arctic Diver. A dragon designed in the likeness of

"If you ever wanted to see what the cross between a dragon and a penguin might look at, then this beast is a living example. For some reason a dragon came out to this frozen wasteland and decided that it liked the fish enough to stay. Over the years, it became more of a giant, mutant bird with no means of flight.

The Arctic Diver is a dragon roughly the size of a Leopard seal. The two creatures share a similar size at any age, newly hatched being around the bulk of a newborn pup, and so on. Its entire body - save for its beak-like snout - is covered in a thick, water repelling downy fur. The fur is so thick that the water never touches the beasts skin, and repels water so well that the creature is dry within seconds of coming onto land. It sports four flipper like "Wings", which help it move through the water as surprisingly fast speeds. Its hind legs are webbed, but used more to help it move on land than anything else. Its tail has become similar to that of a dolphins, being used for moving and making sharp turns in the depths of the sea. Two small horns grow from its head.

This breed of dragon has evolved to resemble a penguin - and it spends a good deal of its adult life around the swimming birds. Its body is mostly black with a white and yellow underbelly. Young Arctic Divers hatch in more tropical climates, and must fend for themselves from the start. Adults live in the frozen area of Antarctica, alongside the Emperor Penguins - whom they seem oddly compelled to protect. This dragon abandons its own eggs shortly after laying them so that it may return to the Arctic to protect the newly hatched penguins. What compels this behavior is unknown.

The Arctic Diver is a fairly passive creature - so long as none of the penguins it is near are not being threatened. When it attacks, it does so with a ferocity rivaling that of an enraged Leopard Seal - it will hunt any enemy to the death and show no mercy. It is a breed that migrates for the sake of mating and laying eggs. It travels from the Arctic seas to the warmer climates of the Indian Ocean. Eggs are laid on the beaches of Australia, and will hatch 6-7 weeks after being buried in the sand. Almost immediately after laying their eggs, the Arctic Diver will return to Antarctica.

This dragon is a Fire/Water elemental.
The Arctic Diver can swallow up to 7 gallons of sea water and store it in a special pouch, which heats the water to a boiling temperature. The super-heated fluid will be sprayed at an attacker in a quick burst to badly burn and possibly blind them.

The diet of the Arctic Diver is dependent on its age. Newly hatched specimen are only capable of feeding on small, soft boned fish, slugs, and octopi - while adults eat any form of fish, crustacean, and even Leopard Seals.
