How I marvel at this twenty foot snake,
it's darkened scales that would make others shake-
and cry out in fright.
That's not right.

The Boa constrictor harbors no resentment
towards anyone- it does not deserve such harsh treatment.
Just look at its shape-
quite unique for a snake.

Or look into its eyes, see the emotion in there?
This creature is highly aware,
of our fear-
but snakes have no tears.

It can't cry when its sad or smile when happy.
Is that why it's reputation's so crappy?
Or is it because it swallows its prey-
while still alive I must say?
Put all misconceptions aside and look at this snake.
Tell me, does it still make you shake?
