he stalks us all!
Ready to pounce and devour come.

Always near,
always watching!
He hunts us like cattle in a field-
like the feeble and vulnerable creatures,
that we are!

Never can we hide!
There is no place for us to run!
In every ally-
every corner of the world!
He sits and watches,
knowing,
just knowing that at any moment!
He can corner us alone and sink!
His soul sucking fangs!
Into the tender,
frail,
flesh of our bodies...

Look around you.
Even if you cannot see him,
I assure you he is there...
And he is waiting!

Waiting for his chance to devour you.
To devour me.
To devour every spirit,
of every living,
breathing creature,
that walks this earth.

Fear him!
Usher him away!
Or embrace his presence,
and call him near...
The same fate,
awaits us all...

We are nothing more,
than sheep.
Roaming an fenceless plain...

No protection...
No dogs to guard us...
No farmer with a gun,
sitting alone at night,
waiting for the wolf to come...

We are out in the open,
and vulnerable...

And we must be careful,
because if we want to spend our days alive...
We must not give him the chance-
the opportunity...
To take us,
as his,
next meal...
