"Our hero... Our hero... Claims a warrior's heart... I tell you... I tell you... The Dragonborn comes..."

Silver eyes peered down at the squirming frame that lay resting near its abdomen. An odd mix of concern and affection radiated in the creatures eyes. As if fearful of harming the helpless being that it had bore, the beast cautiously shifted to that it could nuzzle the babe with its muzzle. She took in the infants scent, and immediately associated it with that of her offspring. The babe was one borne of magic and desire. A hybrid creature born of human and beast. Human and dragon, as it were...

"With a voice wielding power of the ancient lord art... Believe... Believe... The Dragonborn comes..."

A soft cry sounded from the helpless creature. The babe, holding a surprisingly human shape despite her bloodline, sought the warmth of her mother's embrace. An embrace that was given not by arms, but by the soft, warm coils of the dragons tail. The long, elegant tail wrapped around the infant slowly, carefully drawing her up and off of the stone ground to provide the warmth that she needed. A quiet murmur of content came from the squirming newborn, who clung to her mother's fur out of instinct. The bond that formed between the dragon and her offspring was quickly formed, and bound to last well beyond the rules of death...

"It's an end to the evil... Of all the lights foes... Beware... Beware... The Dragonborn comes..."

Gently, the dragoness drew the infant closer to her frame. She curled her body so that the babe could be held below the arch of her neck. Nothing would dare get between the mother and her offspring. Not if they valued the life that was housed within their frame. Seeking to help her babe imprint upon her, the dragoness released a soft sound. She repeated the process many times, creating a variety of noises of different volume. The infant would learn these sounds and know to associate them with her mother. This was part of what would make their bond so far. She would be able to recognize her mother in the midst of any chaos - and in turn, the dragoness would know her daughter through the same means...

"For the darkness has passed, and the legend yet grows... You'll know, you'll know the Dragonborn comes..."

Soft and tender, she coaxed her newborn into slumber. The dragoness, tired from the strain of birth, followed shortly after. There was an air of pride around the beast even as she slept. For it was she who borne the one destined to rid the lad of evil. It was she who had been the mother of all that would bring about peace. She had a reason to be proud - just as she had a reason to be fearful and anxious. Many would seek to destroy her offspring, and many would seek to separate them. She could not allow that. The dragonborn had to be raised alongside the more powerful of her kin. She needed to grow and learn as the dragons did. That would be the source of her powers...

"Dovahkiin... Dovahkiin... Naal ok zin los vahriin... wah dein vokul mahfaeraak ahst vaal!..."

The babe would grow into a fine and powerful woman. One housing every ounce of power that the dragons could bestow upon her. All hidden away in the seemingly innocent frame of a human body. All a guise. The dark haired, blue eyed babe would be as lethal and magnificent as the most feared and respected dragons. Mankind would bow to her in time. Until then, she was to be raised in secrecy...
