This place...
Misused...
Mistakes..."

Laughing quietly, he ushered her out onto the ice rink so that they could start ice skating. As expected, she stumbled once she made it onto the ice. He had to hold his arm out so that she could hold onto him while they made their way further into the rink. She had to wrap her arms around his to keep from slipping and falling. This was her first time ice skating, so it was natural for her to be so off balance...

"Too long...
Too late...
Who was I to make you wait?..."

Her legs slipped out from underneath her from time to time as she struggled to keep up with him. He did his best to keep everything easy, but he could only help her with so much. At least he could be there to hold onto her so that she wouldn't fall. This was supposed to be a fun event for them. She seemed to be enjoying it, though she looked rather embarrassed. Maybe it was because of where his arm was...

"Just one chance...
Just one breath...
Just in case there's just one left..."

Little by little, she seemed to get the hang of what she was doing. Her feet still managed to get away from her from time to time, but within half an hour she had gotten to the point where she didn't have to cling to him. All she really needed to do was hold his hand. She was still afraid of falling and making a fool out of herself. The ice was cold and hard - it would hurt if she fell on it. Plus, the idea of a crowd of people seeing her faceplant in said ice wasn't a very appealing one...

"'Cause you know...
You know...
You know..."

He laughed quietly upon noticing the flustered look on her face. At times like this, he couldn't help but tease her. So he ran his fingers down her back to make her squeak. Then, when she was quiet again, he chuckled and called her a "Cherry pop". That was his trademark nickname for her. When she blushed, she looked like a cherry. She also had a bubbly personality that just seemed to draw him in. Hence, the nickname. She was his bubbly little cherry pop~...

"I love you...
I have loved you all along...
And I miss you...
Been far away for far too long..."

Her blush only darkened as she continued to skate with him. He was a lot better at ice skating that she was. She didn't know if it was because he had done it before, or if it was because he was good on his feet. Either way, when she worked up the confidence to let go of his hand, he skated in circles around her. Literally. From her perspective, he was showing off. As far as he was concerned, he was trying to provoke her into speeding up. As is, she was being very hesitant...

"I keep dreaming - you'll be with me and you'll never go...
Stop breathing - if I don't see you anymore..."

Eventually his taunting paid off. She put her foot down - so to speak - and started to try and chase him. He kept just out of her reach while she followed him. Far enough away to keep her from catching him, but close enough for him to catch her if she stumbled. Before long, it turned into a competition. She tried her best to grab him. She tried to snag his shirt or his arm when he spun by her, but he always managed to keep out of her hold. Still, she didn't give up...

"On my knees...
I'll ask...
Last chance - for one last dance...
'Cause with you...
I'd withstand...
All of hell to hold your hand..."

He checked his phone from time to time while he darted to and fro in front of her. The more he checked, the more excited he seemed to become. She didn't know if it was because he was keeping tabs on how long she managed to skate without falling, or because he couldn't wait to stop. She began to glance at the clock whenever he checked his phone. What was so important that he kept checking the time? She didn't know - but she was curious. She tried to ask, only for him to put a finger to his lips. Obviously he wasn't going to tell her...

"I'd give it all...
I'd give for us...
Give anything - but I won't give up..."

When the clock hit eleven PM, she found out what he had been hiding from her. A song she immediately recognized began to play on the speakers. When that happened, he stopped skating around her and slowed down so that she could catch him. He held his hand out to her, and she grasped it. She didn't know whether she wanted to blush, or cry. She wound up doing both, if only a little. Her eyes watered, but not much beyond that. He had taken the time to request one of her favorite songs...

"'Cause you know...
You know...
You know..."

He kept the pace steady at first, before coaxing her into skating with the rhythm of the song. They kept their hold on each other while they skated around in the center of the rink. If people were staring at them, she didn't notice. She was too caught up in the moment to really pay attention to anything around her. All she cared about, was the song, and their dance...

"I love you...

I have loved you all along...

And I miss you...

Been far away for far too long..."

The song played and eventually came to an end. With that, came the end of their dance. He led her back to the edge of the rink, and helped her climb off the ice. She was sad for it to be over. The experience left her wanting more - and she was glad to discover that he was making arrangements for them to return in a few weeks...

"So keep breathing - 'cause I'm not leaving you anymore...

Believe it...

Hold on to me and never let me go..."

All in all, that was one amazing part of their third date.
