This seem like the right idea? Somewhat human in structure but still very insect like.

4 arms with pincers. 2 long, 2 short.

1 pair of big eyes.

Set of nostrils- suggesting that this creature has lungs, and other such organs.

4 antennae- feathered. 2 long, 2 short.

Ringed area = weak spot with minimal armor. Damage to said spots hurts internal "Organs"

Creature has something like fangs in its mouth. Injects a paralyzing venom- then either eats victim alive or lays a single egg in them.
Juveniles/youngsters have stingers used to inject a toxin that drives people mad. Infected victims will attach each-other, and non infected humans. Juveniles follow infected parties around then dine on the carnage.

Leg count currently undecided.
