Chapter one: The Starting Point
Plotline will be explained as the story goes on, but this is an x reader and I'm NOT going to reveal the love interest just yet. (Namely cause I may change my mind on who it is )
Anyways, some basic info:
(Y/N) = Your name /first name if I have to be specific, (H/C) = Hair color
(H/L) = Hair length, (H/S) = Hair Style
(E/C) = Eye Color, (F/A) = Favorite Animal
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Y/N) was your typical young woman. Eighteen, but still living at home with her parents because in the current economy it really is unrealistic for someone to move out of home right after graduating high school. She had a job, but wasn't exactly fond of it. Being the cashier at McDonalds wasn't exactly the best, most well paying form of employment- but it put money in her pocket. Money that she needed to use to pay for her phone bill and her car insurance. What she didn't spend on that, either went to buying personal items or was put into a bank account. Her parents paid for the internet and food, though she'd offered to take care of the latter herself. However, they insisted that she put what she could into her savings account. They were well aware that she wanted to save up as much money as possible before she left home to find an apartment. They also knew their daughter was a little to suborn to take out a loan so that she could buy her own house.
Unrealistic as it seemed, (Y/N) wanted to buy her home without having to put herself into debt. With the given prices of houses in her area averaging out to well over one hundred and twenty thousand dollars, it was obvious why her otherwise head smart decision was unrealistic. Still, her parents supported her choices- which was more than a lot of children seemed able to ask for. So, yes. All in all, she was a typical young woman with some pointless ideas. Her job was common for a young woman her age, as was her place living with her parents. There wasn't anything genuinely noticeable about her appearance. Not anything that made her feel like supermodel material, at least. Her hair (H/C) in color, (H/L), and (H/S). She honestly didn't know what to make of her weight, not that it mattered because virtually anyone seen on TV made her feel fat by comparison. Honestly she wanted to lose weight, but her parents tended to insist that she not do so.
So, fat, skinny, or otherwise- her parents were fine keeping her as she was as far as weight and appearance went. The only quality of her looks that she actually cared for was her eyes. Probably because they were a nice shade of (E/C)- but it was a given that eyes in general, were beautiful to her. She even received compliments on them every now and again, which honestly tended to make her time at work a little more bearable. Yeah, she had to converse with a number of jerks, jackasses, and creeps throughout the day- but the occasional compliments gave her the mental resolve to deal with it and move on. Well, that and being allowed to take home whatever food was leftover from her shift. Seeing as her employer had a rule about wanting food over three hours old being disposed of, he allowed his workers to take home said “Trash” so long as they added two dollars to the cash register as some form of payment.
Considering she could take about ten dollars worth of food with her if she felt like it, paying the two bucks for it was a pretty great deal. She tended to take three cheeseburgers, a box of french fries, and a parfait when she did so. Granted, she never ate all of it herself. There was a homeless man not far from her work place, and when she had time she gave him a couple of cheeseburgers and a bit of money. Sometimes she actually sat and ate with him. Sure, it wasn't much to help- but he seemed happy whenever he saw her. He was likely glad for any help he could get, and she honestly liked doing something nice from time to time. In the end, she was the kind of person who'd likely try to help the homeless get back on their feet if she had the financial capability of doing so. She'd probably have a (F/A) or two as well. She couldn't really get one while living with her parents, because her mother was afraid of them, and her father claimed he was allergic.
Aside from that, there wasn't a lot going on in (Y/N)'s life. She didn't go out much, but did so when she and all of her friends had time off. Since she spent most of her free time at home, she either helped her parents take care of the house, or she enjoyed her hobbies. As it was, she had a few. Video games were a fun past time, but she didn't play them often because of how easily they made her lose track of time. She didn't mind cooking, but often questioned how well the food came out- and honestly she hated sharing anything she made with anyone for fear of getting a bad reaction. She liked to read fanfiction online, and watch Markiplier and Jacksepticeye on youtube. When she wasn't doing that, she was usually either chatting with friends online, doing a bit of artwork, giving writing a go, or listening to creepypasta narrations. Like everyone in the fandom, she had her favorite characters and the characters she just couldn't stand.
She also prided herself in not being mean to people over being a fan of something or someone she disliked. Sadly, it was a fandom that seemed to run on online wars, so it was nearly impossible to stay out of the drama. Which was why she remained hesitant about really posting anything she did unless it was something widely accepted by the fans. Meaning if it was considered “Against canon”, or revolved around a topic people liked to call “Overused” or “Sue-ish”, she avoided posting it simply so people wouldn't overreact and lash out at her about it. Honestly, it was sad how often the term “Mary Sue” was seen in comments whenever she stumbled across a new OC. People didn't even seem to know the meaning of the term, so they just used it to express their hate for a character that, from her perspective, seemed to lack anything that could make them over powered or boring. If anything, most of what she saw just needed a little more info and a more realistic backstory.
She spent enough time listening to and reading about creepypasta to know what made a good one. For that reason, she was honestly surprised that Jeff the killer had so much fame. His story was, in blunt terms, unrealistic and poorly written. Especially where the end result of his injuries were involved. Granted, that was just her opinion, and she rarely bothered to comment on it for sake of keeping the peace. Unless she knew she was chatting with someone who agreed with her on the subject, she kept that little tidbit to herself. Really, it was scary how far people had to go to keep out of and from starting fights with people. Still, she loved creepypasta and all the stories and artwork that stayed with it, so she honestly couldn't bring herself to leave the fandom. There was just something about everything that kept her drawn too it. All of the characters were so unique- honestly it wasn't like with anime or movie characters.
No two characters were the same in design or behavior, yet there was a part of the fandom that liked to pour them all into the same place where they lived together and behaved like a giant family. A monochromatic killer clown, a man offered as a sacrifice to a demon who in turn became demonic himself. Masked men serving a tall, faceless being who played cruel games with his victims. A demonic dog who drove you mad before killing you. A smiling cat who wouldn't leave you alone even if you killed him. So different, but all alike enough to be put together as a family. Heck, there were people who actually thrived on creating alternate worlds and places, where all of these terrifying people and creatures thrived alongside each other. Every story could basically be considered a crossover, but they were crossover stories that made sense. Not like taking a character from Harry Potter and dropping them in Pokemon.
There were good plots, realistic reactions, and characters that could relate to each other. She just couldn't help but enjoy it. Same with the artwork. Hundreds of styles, varying from cute to dark and gory. She just couldn't get bored while looking up creepypasta. There was always something to look at, always something to read, and always something to listen too. She knew how to find it, and it wasn't hard to look up.
