Description  Encounters of this sort are a rarity in the world. Two predators, such as themselves, almost never encountered one another and walked away without spurring negativity. In truth, it would have been more common for them to have challenged one another in a fight to the death. That was not how the event played out – and that is why it has been deemed a rarity.

She was the one to come across him, and he stopped in his tracks upon spotting her. His gaze never once left her form. The gray and black coat her lycanthrope body adorned. The unique, blue and black coloration of her eyes. The thickness of the mane that trailed from the top of her head, to the end of her tail. He noted the various details of her body. She did likewise as she approached him cautiously.

The two of them examined one another thoroughly. She took note of the copper plated gloves he wore – and he counted the digits on her hands and feet. He eyed the abnormality of one of her ears, while she stared intently into his golden eyes. They were two top notch predators encountering one another for the first time. This behavior was vital to determining whether there could be an alliance – or if they need eliminate one another. Animal instinct paired with unique senses of human intelligence.

She sensed the power he held. His size made him seem like he would be easy to hunt, but she could understand the strength hidden within those human limbs. He held possibility in matching her brute power – just as he held chance of understanding her mind on a personal level. Their movements were akin to a dangerous dance. They stepped near one another, only to cautiously back away to keep from triggering an unwanted fight. They need not brawl pointlessly. This was their means of determining whether or not they need be enemies.

It had been the scent of fresh blood that drew her too him initially. Neither had been aware of the others presence in the wood. She had smelt the blood of a wounded animal, and in turn had sought it out. He had been what she found, along with the freshly killed rabbit he gripped in his metal clad hands. He kept his hold on the dead rodent even as they examined one another. She was the one to step forward with the first act of aggression. She parted her lips to bare her lupine teeth at him.

Not as a threat, but as a show of dominance. This was her territory. He was the trespassing predator that dared hunt her game. He would not be allowed to hunt on her land unless she deemed him worthy of doing so. Had he been human, no doubt he would have taken her abrupt snarl as a threat. Yet, it was the animalistic nature he housed that gave him the understanding. He could sense her physical abilities – just as she could anticipate his ability to manipulate her. Or, rather she could sense the possibility of him being able to bend her to his will.

Animals had a knack for determining one another’s abilities. She could sense his undemonstrated physical strength, just as she could sense the powers that lay hidden from plain sight. That golden glow to his eyes radiated his ability to manipulate the living beings around him. If she decided to attack, that would be when they discovered if his powers gave him the ability to force her obedience. Both knew that neither could fight the other without walking away unscathed. There were few possible outcomes to a fight between them.

She could kill him off, and walk away severely wounded, and vice versa. They could battle, and neither could walk away victor. There was no possible outcome of one defeating the other, without suffering the aftermath of the brawl. This was why the encounter was of such importance. Any fight between them would be a last resort. She knew it, he knew it – and they both understood it. In response to her show of dominance, he submitted to her. Not out of fear, not because he believed she could destroy him – but as an act of respect.

The dead rabbit he held was relinquished and put in her possession. He understood that the land he stood upon was her territory, and that made whatever game he could come across, hers. Her snarl ended the moment he placed the rodent at her feet. In response to his action, she grasped the dead prey, only to strain her body so that she could stand at full height. This was another show of dominance. If he was on her land, she expected him to treat her as an alpha. Again, it was the instinct of an animal that influences his behavior.

Again, he offered his submission. Like a warrior pledging allegiance to a fellow fighter, he put himself below her. He fell onto one knee and bowed his head respectfully. That seemed to be enough to satisfy her. She dropped the dead rabbit he had slain, showing him that he had the freedom to hunt in her land if he so chose. He had earned a ranking in her pack of misfits, and that was all it took to create their alliance. With that, the air around them shifted. The dangerous edge of their encounter fell blunt.

A common understanding had formed between them. There was respect, and a sense of loyalty. He took hold of his returned game, and rose back onto his feet. The physical contact they came to share not long after, was a genuine show of trust. She bowed her head slightly and sniffed the air about him, before gently nudging his cheek with her nose. He, in turn, raised his metal clad hand to gently trail his fingers along the side of her muzzle. With that, their encounter ended. She turned her attention elsewhere, intent on catching game of her own to state her hunger.

He, in turn, went along his way. The rabbit he had slain needed to be eaten while fresh, but it was not a meal he intended to have alone. She left him knowing that he had a companion with him, elsewhere in her land. Her judgement of that companion would be due in time – but for now, she was satisfied with what had transpired. New allies were good to keep around. She could trust that he would come to her aid should she come to need it.

'm Glad you like it sis~
I had the random urge to write up how I felt Leon and Mahigun's initial meeting would go down.

They basically develop a strong sense of respect for one another.
