Come the nightfall of Christmas, there in the house.
A dark creature stands lurking, repressing its shouts.
Up in the bedrooms, slept children without care.
None of them knowing, that the monster was there.
They were there resting, sleeping soundly in bed.
Not a fear present, in their dreaming young heads.
A smile graced its face, and it gave its chin a tap.
Gruesome thoughts in its head, about making bones snap.
Then without warning, the beast burst out in laughter.
Oh my how it wanted, to hear their guts splatter.
With a devious smile, it was gone in a flash.
Its dark mind set upon, the young flesh it would slash.
The thoughts in its minds of the marvelous show.
Its cruelty was high, and its mercy cut low.
Oh how it wanted to see eyes wide with fear.
It crept into a room, its lips wide with a sneer.
Approaching a bed, with its mind horrid and sick.
It looked down at a child, and its lips it did lick.
It leaned down and smiled, and called the child by name.
The poor boy did not know, that the beast was insane.
The child awoke, and peered into the eyes blazin-
with rage and dark thoughts. Oh, no one could save him.
Then his mouth opened wide, his voice prepped to call-
before he could scream, he was pinned to the wall.
Trapped and afraid for his life, the poor child asked why-
he stammered and whimpered, and started to cry.
The beast smirked and laughed, and from its pockets withdrew-
a small piece of candy, then broke it in two.
The action seemed friendly, but that wasn't the truth.
The candy would poison, the frightened, small youth.
When the boy wouldn't eat, the beast glared with a frown.
Then it dropped the candy, and set the boy down.
The poor child was frightened- oh, he trembled and shook.
With good reason too. The beast bore a cold look.
In the blink of an eye, the beast did attack!
It grabbed the small boy and roughly clawed at his back!
Oh, the sight it was gruesome- far beyond scary.
The boy should have known- oh, he should have been wary.
But sad as it seemed that the boy just didn't know.
That the beast he called friend, was a deadly foe.
His blood splattered down onto the floorboards beneath.
His flesh was torn from him by the monsters sharp teeth.
The blood and the gore made the bedroom quite smelly-
but the beast carried on. He filled his slim belly.
Fresh flesh in its stomach, the beast let out a belch.
It took a moment to calm, and lent on a shelf.
In the next room over there were children in bed.
But, the beast chose to leave them for later instead.
With that thought in mind, the creature finished its work.
Then left the house sporting a devious smirk.
Come the following morning, the parents arose.
The caught a foul stench- then both followed their nose.
They came to the boys door to find it closed still.
When they opened it up, the mother screamed shrill.
The image before them was a parents worst fright.
Their poor baby boy, was lying dead in plain sight.
Let this be a lesson to all children out there.
Laughing Jack is a clown, that all must beware.
For on the boys wall, painted in blood so bright.Ā

I mean, I knew it was LJ from the start. After all, he's my favorite and often I'm wrong, but this was so right even I was right!
Oh, soooooo much better than Black Xmas or Jack Frost.
There are no good scary stories for Christmas!
...Until now!
