Description Behold, the Nobleman. A dragon based upon

"To find the best example of how a knight should behave, you must look onto this beast. Noble, loyal, and strong, it looks after all that live upon its land. It is a guardian, a warrior, and a caretaker. Behold, the Nobleman Dragon."

The Nobleman Dragon is a llama sized, fur covered dragon, sporting mouse-like ears, face, and feet. hollow spines grow along the spine, all the way down the tail. When the spines are filled with fluid, they become sharp enough and strong enough to break solid steel. The last 5 inches of the tail bears a heavily armored and weaponised club, which is frequently used to assault enemies. The tail itself bears a very thin layer of fur - as does its snout and toes. Everywhere else on its body has a thick coating of fur. Up to 1/3 of the hairs on its body are actually barbed quills, which is only capable of being used as a weapon when filled with the same hardening agent used to stiffen its spines. Long whiskers grow from its face around its nose and eyes.

While this dragon is often seen walking on only its rear legs, it is perfectly capable of traveling on all fours. Its wings and forelimbs fused somewhere in its evolution ling, creating a stronger bone structure in the upper "arm". Beneath the thick layer of fur on its wings, there is a fleshy membrane connecting its elongated fingers. The structure creates a surprisingly effective means of flight, though this creature is unable to travel more than a few miles before it must stop to rest. The Nobleman is a dragon that is unable to properly defend itself while in the sky, hence it prefers to remain on land where it can keep its fighting capability.

This breed of dragon spends its active time above ground, but digs big and sturdy burrows in which is sleeps, stores food, and raises its young. This is one of a handful of dragon species that produces milk, though like most of its relatives, it lays eggs. Most Nobleman burros are large enough to house three cows, and contain a handful of passages that lead to where it will store its food, and relieve itself. This breed prefers to stay underground at night. Its burrows are supported by a nearly indestructible amber like substance, which the Nobleman will spray on the walls. The amber is spat in the form of a scalding hot, molten stone - which hardens within minutes. The only known means of breaking the amber after it has cooled, is to light it on fire and allow it to break down. However, the Nobleman is more than capable of chewing the substance away in order to modify its home.

The Nobleman is a dragon that comes in a large variety of colors, which have no relation to its place of origin. Some are white, others black, and some brown. A handful are born with blue eyes, and they are considered a rarity. This beast spends its days roaming its territory - which typically takes up no more than five acres of land. Males harbor no territory squabbles, and are perfectly willing to live alongside one another - as are females. This dragon does not pick fights with other members of its species, but can and will become extremely hostile when being approached by other dragons or possible predators. It is known to chase down and kill bears, and other predatory animals. This has made them favored by ranchers as guardian beasts, seeing as they will not harm a goat, cow, or lamb unless first attacked by the animal.

Strong willed, docile, but surprisingly stubborn and aggressive when rubbed the wrong way, the Nobleman is quite like that of the common llama in behavior. The only real difference is that when this creature spits, it spits a molten hot amber that scalds the skin and can only be removed through surgery once it cools.

This dragon is an earth/fire elemental.
After consideration, the Nobleman was given the secondary element class of "Fire" as result of how it does melt the amber substance in a special compartment in its stomach. How the amber is originally formed, is unknown.

The diet of this dragon species consist primarily of fruits, nuts, and other forms of vegetation. However, it does hunt on occasion - usually when in dire need of specific minerals and proteins.
