Mariah and Sarah left hell shortly after they finnished eating. They made their way to main street, Sarah concealing herself in the shadows while she followed Mariah around. The pair stoped a few times to look some things over, and at about noon they bumped into another soul stealer. "Well well well. If it isn't Sarah. I haven't seen you in a dog's age!" An imp that went by the name of Pearl laughed, her cowgirl accent overpowering her voice. "What ya'll been up to?!" Pear asked, slaping Sarah on the the back playfully. "We've been...around." Sarah said under her breath, not in the mood for being bothered by Pearl. Pearl simply laughed and gave Sarah another slap on the back, before turning to the left and dissapearing in the shadows, Sarah dissapearing along with her; Mariah chuckled under her breath while Sarah vanished. For a few moments Mariah simply stood in her spot, toying with her mask before simply takeing it off; the string that held it in place was to loose. For a few hours Mariah wandered aimlessly around the city, getting a multitude of curious glances; a dark red cloak with black trim seemed a little to warm for a hot summers day. Mariah of coarse simply shruged it off with a laugh, not caring about her current appearence.
By nightfall Mariah had walked around the city once, stoped for a nap twice, and taken four breaks to eat. The day was short in Mariah's eyes, and she had not seen Sarah once after she left earlyer that day; Mariah was beggining to feel a little lonsome. That lonlieness did not last long however, because moments later a man, just a few inches taller than Mariah ran smack dabb into her and knocking them both into the road. In only a few moment's Mariah realised that the man, who's eye's were an icey blue; was crouched over on top of her in an awkward position. "You can get off of me now!" Mariah growled in an irritated tone, the blond haired man jumped off of her immediately and turned to look in the direction that he had come from. Mariah turned to look as well, pulling her hood up over her head as a group of women came running twoards the two people. The women stoped dead in their tracks when they spotted Mariah, who's green eye's were glowing brightly in the dark shadows of the alley. The blond haired man tenced up, as if he was preparing to run; but the women beat him to it and ran away from Mariah who had put her mask on to frighten them. The blod boy chuckled, holding out his hand to Mariah. "Thanks. They wouldn't leave me alone! I'm Damon." Mariah shook Damon's hand lightly, smiling as she said. "My name is Mariah." Mariah turned to leave, but Damon pointed out somthing disturbing. "Your mask is cracked." Mariah stoped dead in her tracks and pulled the mask off of her face, gasping when she saw a four inch crack running along the side of the mask. 'Sarah's gonna kill me!' Mariah thought to herself as she ran her fingers along the abrasion.
Mariah sighed and turned to leave, but was stoped by Damon a second time. "You wanna get a bite to eat? As an appology for breaking your mask." Damon asked while smiling, pointing at a dairy queen. "I... suppose." Mariah muttered, following Damon into a dairy queen and waiting in line. When Mariah and Damon made it to the front of the line Damon quickly ordered his blizzard, while Mariah stared dumbfounded at the board. "Something wrong?" Damon asked, seeing Mariah staring at the board. "No." Mariah said drily, hiding her nerviousness. 'I need to pick something...' Mariah though skimming the board, finding something that she felt confident about eating. "I'd like a strawberry blizzard please." Mariah said with a smile; she and Damon sat down at a table quickly to wait for their food. When their number was called Damon went up to the counter, grabed the blizzards and walked back handing Mariah her icecream. Damon ate his desert happily while Mariah stared at the frozen treat in distast. "What's wrong? Did they mess up your order?" Damon asked, his spoon still in his mouth making it difficult to understand him. "Just out of curiosity...why did they put raw meat in this?" Mariah asked, pokeing at the cut strawberry with her spoon while Damon choked on his ice cream.
