“Would you stop doing that?!” I said in an annoyed tone as I felt Leon grab my rear for the umpteenth time since he'd picked me up. Like the idiot I was I refused to let him take me back to his house without showing me his garden first, and so he decided to pick me up and carry me there. Now, I'm leaning over his shoulder, and he's got his hand on my butt, and he wont stop grabbing my ass! The man in question chuckled and bounced me a bit to prevent me from slipping off of his shoulder.
“Stop doing what?” Leon said innocently, before abruptly pinching my ass with his forefinger and thumb. I squeaked and tried to knee him in the chest- but I didn't do a very good job.
“Stop grabbing my ass!” I spat, and I immediately heard him laugh at me before pinching my butt again, and I winced. Alright, that time it hurt.
“That hurts you dickwad!” I snapped, only to have him spank my butt with his other hand. I was about three seconds away from grabbing a fist full of his hair and pulling until his skin gave way. He laughed more and bounced me again.
“Oh, I'm sorry Sophie~ Maybe if you asked a little nicer, I'd be more willing to do as you ask~” Leon chuckled, before he groped my ass again. That was it. I grabbed a fist full of his hair and I pulled with all my might. His head snapped back, and I heard him let out a hiss of pain- his grip on my butt tightened. Honestly, I was surprised that I didn't rip out a chunk of his scalp, I was pulling hard enough to make my fingers hurt. This guy had some strong hair- not one strand of it was willing to break. Instead of taking his hand off my ass, he moved his other hand behind his head to pry my fingers out of his hair. Then, much to my surprise, he used his hold on my arm to literally flip me into the air. I have no idea how he did it, but he tossed me in the air and caught me in his arms before I even had the chance to realize I was falling. The next thing I knew, he was holding me bridal style and I was staring up at him in shock. He on the other hand, was glaring down at me- I don't think his eyes had ever looked so dangerous. There was something supernatural about the way his eyes looked- they paralyzed me. I tried to move, but I couldn't- I could only breathe and stare down at him as he slowly moved his face closer to mine. My breath hitched in my throat when our noses touched, and I realized what was happening- this creep was about to kiss me. Or so I though.
Just before our lips could touch, he pulled his head back and stared down at me blankly for a moment, then he smirked. Then he burst into laughter. He laughed so hard that he actually fell to his knees and buried his face in my shoulder as he tried to catch his breath. In the time it took him to do that, my expressions shifted drastically. I went from shocked, to confused, to surprised, and lastly, I became embarrassed. Mainly because I realized that his head was positioned so that his mouth was directly over one of my breasts- but he was laughing so hard, I don't think he even realized it. When he finally calmed down enough to pull his head back, I wasn't surprised when I saw tears pricking the corners of his eyes- his cheeks had actually turned a little pink because he hadn't been able to breathe. He continued to snicker for a few minutes as he calmed down, then he abruptly stood up and locked eyes with me- he had a smug smile plastered on his face.
“You should have seen your face!” Leon said between bursts of giggling, before he shook his head slowly in amusement and he started walking again. While I had a literal “What in the fuck-?” moment, he carried me in the direction of his garden. By the time I'd recovered from whatever state of shock his actions had thrown me into, I found myself standing in the middle of what had to be the best looking garden I'd ever seen. Funny though- I had absolutely no memory of him putting me down, yet alone him walking away from me to weed one of his many flowerbeds. While I stood and tried to figure out how he'd put me down and walked away without my realizing it, he turned and threw a nasty looking weed at me. Well that sure brought me back to reality, cause the damn weed hit me in the face!
“What?!” I snapped, though I don't know if my tone was one of anger or surprise. In response, he turned his head to look at me and he tossed another weed in my direction. I sidestepped to avoid it- alright, that one was a thistle, that would have hurt had it hit me.
“Don't just stand there in a daze. Come here and help me weed.” Leon said sternly, before he turned his attention back to the various weeds growing in his garden. I sighed and walked over to him, and I knelt down to start pulling out the weeds that wouldn't hurt my hands- there was a lot of nettles and thistle growing in the flowerbed. We continued to pick the weeds in silence for a while, until I decided that I'd rather look at the flowers than try to figure out which weeds I'd be able to pick without getting a fist-full of stickers. He had quiet the variety growing, and different types in every bed. In the bed we were weeding, he had a lot of seasonal flowers- mostly different types of iris's. Very lovely flowers- lots of purple and white, with a splash of yellow here and there. Strange though, a lot of the flowers in the bed weren't native to this forest, nor was it the time of year for them to be growing. I glanced at Leon for a moment- he must have had a knack with flowers, being able to get them growing so well and all. So, I guess he probably wasn't as bad as I was making him out to be- at least, not with plants and animals anyways.
“If your not gonna weed, then go and check the vegetables.” He said calmly, before abruptly scooting closer to me to reach the weeds I hadn't been able to pull- he nearly knocked me over. After a moment I stood up and I took a quick step backwards to catch my balance, then I took a look around to see if I could spot these vegetables of his. It didn't take long for me to stop them, it would be hard to miss pumpkins big growing in the middle of a green patch. I strode over to the vegetable patch to see what he had in it other than pumpkin. I found a strange looking type of squash, some peas, and graped. There were other plants to, but I had to pull them to see what they were- and since I'd been asked to check on the vegi's, I did. I found carrots, red onions, and strange looking beets- they were white and purple. I'd never seen beets like them before, so I was curious about them.
“Hey Leon, what is this?” I asked as I held out the strange looking beet, and I watched as Leon turned to look over at me. He squinted a bit then turned back to the flowerbed he was weeding.
“Turnip.” Leon said calmly, and I watched him yank a particularly stubborn weed out of the ground, and my eyes widened a bit. No wonder he'd had to put so much effort into pulling it, the root must have been a foot long. I heard him mutter something about weeds being pain in the asses, then he stood and walked to the vegetable garden to see if there were any weeds to pick there. He knelt next to me and took the “Turnip” out of my hand, then he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pocket knife. I flinched a little when he flicked the blade open, because I had the feeling that he might cut me, but I calmed down when I saw him start skinning the turnip. After he skinned it, he cut a chunk of it out and put it in his mouth, then he cut off another piece and held it out to me.
“Taste.” He said calmly, and I gave him a funny look.
“But its raw.” I said distastefully, only to have him press the piece of turnip against my lower lip- but he didn't try to force it into my mouth.
“I said taste. You don't have to eat it.” Leon said calmly, before pushing the piece of food between my lips to try and convince me to take a bite. After a second or so, I decided to give in. I opened my mouth and let him push the piece off food into my tongue, and when he withdrew his fingers I closed my mouth and gave the chunk of turnip a hesitant chew. To my surprise, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Sure, it was a little hard, but the taste itself wasn't bad. It kinda tasted like cabbage, but at the same time it was a completely different flavor. I chewed it for a while longer before I decided that it wouldn't hurt to actually swallow it, then I gave Leon a hesitant nod.
“Now that wasn't so bad, was it?” He said with a coy smirk, before cutting out another piece of the turnip and putting it in his mouth- I guess he has a taste for raw vegetables.
“No, I guess not.” I said slowly. Seriously, what was up with this guy? One second he's sarcastic. The next he's terrifying. In a flash he's playful. Then he's calm, and I guess, easy to get along with. I was starting to think that he might have had a personality disorder- maybe he was one of the people who had more than one person living inside their mind. Multiple personalities- yeah, that would make sense. If not, he was probably bipolar, or something along those lines- because I couldn't figure him out. I watched him eat the entire turnip, and around the time he took the last bite I felt something slither up the back of my shirt. I didn't do anything about it because I though it was Jack, but when Leon suddenly turned his head a little and jumped, I knew that my thoughts were wrong.
“Sophie, don't move...” Leon said as he suddenly crept closer to me, before he worked his hand down the back of my shirt. I shivered at the cold feeling of his gauntlets, and at the sensation of what I assumed was a poisonous snake slithering around my body. I felt the head of the snake creep into my bra, and I felt its tongue flick out and brush the skin of my breast. Leon reached his hand further down my back, then he suddenly pulled his hand out the back of my shirt only to slip it down the front. I gasped when I felt his hand slip inside my bra, and I felt my eyes water when I heard the horrific sound of a rattle start up. No wonder he'd told me to hold still- there was a rattlesnake in my shirt, and its head was at my chest. One slip up, and I'd take a dose of venom to the heart- then I'd be screwed. I heard the snake hiss loudly as Leon brought his hand closer to its face, and I felt its body tense- oh my god, it was getting ready to strike! I felt tears prick the corners of my eyes as it dawned on my how close to being killed I was- sure, the bear had been scary, but not as scary as this. I held my breath and tried to focus on something other than the feel of the snakes tongue darting against my skin, and the metal of Leon's gauntlets. That's when I noticed the butterflies. There were around a dozen of the most beautiful butterflies I'd ever seen in the flowerbeds just past the vegetable patch. Their wings were white, with the gorgeous powder blue markings, and their bodies were gold.
I focused on them- I put every ounce of my willpower into blocking out the sound of the snakes rattle, and the feel of the unwanted contact of metal and scales on my skin. I noticed that there was a strange looking butterfly amongst the group, and I focused on it intently without meaning to. The shape of its wings- it looked very exotic. The color of the wings, they were red and black- but they were disturbing shades of red and black. The wings, they almost looked as if they'd been made of blood. And the body, it was an eerie shade of white- one that could only be described as ghost white. It was a beautiful insect, but it looked like something that belonged in a cemetery, not in the middle of a garden surrounded by other butterflies that looked like they belonged in heaven. Suddenly, movement beside me caught my attention- Leon lent towards me as he pulled the snake out of my shirt. I turned my head to look at him, and he locked eyes with mine for a moment- his eyes, what the hell was up with him? For a split second, he looked at me the same way he'd looked at Jack before we left for the garden- then in a blink of an eye, they took on their normal hardened tone. I adverted my gaze to look down at the snake he held in his hand- it was completely motionless, and for a minute or so I swore it was dead.
Then, to my surprise, its tongue darted out to flick the air. I was so startled by the unexpected movement that I jumped, and I heard Leon let out a long sigh. He moved his other hand and grabbed the rattlesnake by it tail, and he basically forced the serpent to coil around his arm. Then, he stood up and turned towards the trees.
“You, uh, wait here... I'm gonna go let this guy go.” Leon said hesitantly, before he walked off towards the trees. I sat there and watched him as he left. So, he'd saved my life twice today. Once from that strange bear, and once from the poisonous- wait, I always think that- I mean venomous snake. Now that I thought about it, he may have actually done more than that today, I mean, he did disappear for a little while to take care of something. Maybe he'd chased off some other dangerous animal. Then there was the creature I'd encountered when he was gone. Whatever it was, it was shaped like a human, but it obviously wasn't. Cold, soft skin. Long, sharp nails. The ability to make strange noises. The more I thought about it- about her- the more I wanted to encounter her again. She had frightened me at first, because I assumed that she was some monster out to devour me. But instead of hurting me, she held me, and she left me a gift. I looked down at my hand to examine the ring she had given me. There were twelve white stones on it, all of them were the same shape. Some of them were cracked though- imperfect stones on a piece of jewelery? Now that was odd- maybe the creature had damaged them before giving the ring to me. Suddenly I was curious about whether or not the creature had made the ring herself, or if she had found the ring somewhere and given it to me. Before I had the chance to get to lost in my thoughts, Leon came back and sat down next to me. To my surprise, Jack was coiled around his shoulders, with his head down the front of his shirt.
“Where was he?” I asked quietly, and I watched as Leon reached into the front of his shirt to pull Jack's head out of it. He made a strange face and let the snake go.
“He was out sunning on a boulder. Guess he was cold.” Leon said before he extended an arm to me- Jack immediately slithered along his arm to coil around my shoulders. I watched the snake intently as he settled around me- for one reason or another, I had the feeling that Jack might of gotten attached to me. I know it was a silly thought, considering that I was referring to a reptile that could crush the life out of me on a whim. Without meaning to, I found my eyes moving from the snake around my shoulders, the the group of butterflies fluttering through the flowerbed just past the vegetable patch. So many things had happened today, and I had a feeling that many more things were bound to happen before I had the chance to process all of it.
“Their beautiful, aren't they?” I heard Leon ask calmly, and my eyes darted in his direction for a split second. In that second, I caught a serene expression on his face- the same expression he'd had when he was talking to Jack in private. I focused my eyes on the butterflies to prevent myself from staring at Leon- I knew that if he spotted me looking at him, his expression would change. Guess I'd rather know he was making a pleasant face than see it change before I had a chance to let it sink into my memory. Besides, I was sure that I'd get another chance to really look at him again some time in the future.
“There lovely...” I said calmly, before a sudden question popped into my head.
“What kind of butterflies are they?”-

The story is more or less discontinued, as the bulk of it is now no longer canon.

The character merely changed from the original design. So there's no real updated story with him.

Just... don't let the snake be too big. I like them but I don't want to run the risk of it eating one of my other pets...

Yay, another page~!!
*shudders violently* God.... I hate snakes >.< But Jack is a sweetheart and I love this chapter~ xD
And I am VERY confused... isn't Leon supposed to be some horrible, sadistic rapist that likes to rip people's guts out?
Is he just playing nice just to get Sophie's trust? Or is there something else going on? Gah, I'm not gonna get any sleep with all this suspense you keep making, lady!! LOL

Oh believe me, there is MUCH more to Leon then meets the eye. Yet, he kills people- but not because he's sadistic. More like the trauma he suffered drove him insane with the drive to destroy anything that reminds him of it- hence, his hatred of sex.
I don't want to give away to many spoilers, but he needs Sophie- but I'm not gonna way why~
