Chapter Six

Hastily, she made her way back to the break room so that she could collect the needed paperwork for when she was with her next patient. Once there, the gathered the needed papers and quickly attached them to her clipboard, and she grabbed a small tub before she rushed to the giant walk in cooler that was kept nearest to her location. Her second patient was on a very strict diet of mineral water, and a series of vitamin injections that were administered throughout the day. The water was available to him at all times, but she had to give him three specialized shots with every visit to his room. As things were, she was the one tending to her patients for all three meals- someone else checked in on them at night while she was away. Once she made it to the fridge she stepped inside it and headed for the shelves that housed the injections, and she quickly collected the bundle of three that had been designed to keep her patient alive. She put the bundle in the tub, collected some alcohol swabs, and exited the fridge to head down the halls towards her destination. Compared to Eyeless Jack's location, her next patient was much closer. Only three minutes off at a relaxed pace, but she made in there in a minute and a half with how she'd decided to travel. Once at his door, she gave it a brisk knock before impatiently waiting around a minute.

Then she quickly input her passcode so that she could get into his room. As soon as the green light above the door flashed, she rushed into knowing that the door would relock itself upon closing. Once in the room, she took a moment to compose herself before she walked further in- her eyes fell upon the form of her next patient, who stared back at her. Or, at least she assumed he was looking at her. Hard to tell due to his lack of eyes. Calmly, she set the tub of syringes and her clipboard on the table, before she turned to look at him directly. He was where he tended to be whenever she came. In the far corner of the room, directly next to the doorway that led to his bedroom. His legs were crossed, his arms in his lap. Same position as always.

"Good morning, Slenderman, how are you today? Feel like saying anything?" She asked calmly, despite the erratic pace of her heart. Truth be told, the slender being always frightened her. She didn't know if it was because of all the stories she'd heard about him, or if it was because he was a being that thrived on fear, but still. There was always that feeling of terror whenever she was with him. As expected, he didn't respond. Calmly, she set her things on the desk in the center of the room, and she took her clipboard in order to write down a few things. He was the most difficult to care for of her patients- not because she had to give him injections but because he never spoke. Not once in her seven years of caring for him had she ever heard his voice. Aside from spotting him out in the courtyard, she never saw him standing up. He only ever moved in front of her when she gave him his injections. He was, in all accounts, her most mysterious patient. After etching what she could into the paper, she set the clipboard down and proceeded to prepare the injections. She uncapped each of them and gave the needles a quick swipe with an alcohol pad to make sure they were clean. Then she re-capped them and set them back in the tub, before she carried them over to where he was sitting.

She knelt beside him, and he held up his arm so that she could clean the injection area with an alcohol swab. She slowly bunched up the sleeve of his suit to expose his forearm, then she cleaned the paper-white skin with the swab before she retrieved the first injection. After uncapping it, she eased the needle into his skin before pressing down on the plunger to force the vitamin supplement into his bloodstream. Once done she removed the needle to repeat the process with the other two injections. After finishing, she gave his forearm one last rub down with an alcohol swab before she put everything back in the tub and proceeded to stand up. By then she was surprised she hadn't had a heart attack. Just touching him made her head feel heavy. When she'd first started caring for him someone actually had to stand outside the door to keep an eye on her to make sure she wouldn't faint. She'd only passed out once, and it had only been for a few minutes. Since then she hadn't had any other incidents with him. He hadn't even responded when she fainted at that time. He'd just sat and stayed still, as he always did when she was in the room. In all honesty, the constant behavior made her believe that he was depressed- which would have made sense. Eyeless Jack had been prisoner for thirty-nine years.

In the thirty-two prior to her meeting him he'd killed thirty caretakers, and when she met him he was suffering from a deep, onset depression. He'd actually recovered some in the seven years she'd been caring for him, and that was because she'd never gone out of her way to mistreat him. Slenderman had only been prisoner for twenty-five years, but in that amount of time he'd killed forty-one of his caretakers. Take into account that he'd killed those forty-one in a timespan of eighteen years, and it was obvious how dangerous he was capable of being. Granted, at least a third of those deaths was deemed as "Accidental". They were the reason he was to be given vitamin injections rather than food. Apparently his caretakers had suffered fatal heart attacks when he opened his mouth in front of them- something about the sights and sounds literally scared them to death. Truth be told, she was curious to see for herself exactly what they meant- but she was also terrified of the idea so she kept that curiosity to herself. After standing, she walked back to the desk and set the tub down only to pick up her clipboard once more. She moved to another piece of paper and scribbled a few things down on that, and she froze. Something about the date made her uneasy- the twelfth of November.

Hastily, she pulled open the bottom drawer of the desk to pull out a calendar. She flipped through it until she hit November, then she checked the date and cursed herself inwardly. Physical. Slenderman was due for a physical examination today- it didn't matter when she took him but she had to take him today. That was not going to be fun. Of everything she had to do as part of her job- filling out paperwork, bringing food, providing medical supplies, and whatnot. Helping to give her patients their physicals was the worst of it. She wasn't a doctor, or even a nurse. Helping her patients undress- and in most cases helping with the physical- was not her forte. Sadly, it was part of the job description so she didn't have a choice. She shook her head and sighed as she put the calendar back in the drawer and closed it, then she set down her clipboard.

"Alright, Slender, it seems I let something important slip my mind. You'll be getting a physical today.. You can either go now, or I can take you later on before I go home. Your call." She said hesitantly, her voice bitter from the idea of what she'd be doing later on. For a minute or so that, she eyed Slenderman- who sat with his "Face" downcast. At first it seemed he intended on having her take him later in the day- but then he seemed to sigh, and he awkwardly moved into a standing position. Her jaw dropped slightly when he stood- she honestly hadn't expected him to do so, and in all accounts this was the first he'd bothered to really move when she was looking at him. That was either a sign of him starting to actually trust her or a sign of him being tired of her and ready for a chance to kill her. Really, she hoped it was the first option. Jack had already attacked her once and she had her doubts that she'd be able to talk Slenderman into letting her live. Still, he was standing which meant he wanted to get his physical over and done with- so she had to get him ready to go.
"Nn.. Wait here then. I need to get the supplies." She said calmly, before she grabbed the tub and clipboard and turned towards the door. With a quick input of her code she quickly exited, and she started down the hall towards one of the supply closets. Slenderman had to be properly restrained prior to being escorted to the medical ward. Once in the supply closet, she collected the necessary items. Cuffs and ankle restraints designed specifically for the slender being and his kin. His tendrils were theoretically contained thanks to the effects of whatever it was the nullified his powers, but given that they were a part of his body it was highly likely that he was just keeping them hidden. He was most likely saving the use of his tendrils for when he decided to try and escape. Or, at least that's what she personally believed. The forces nullifying the powers of the patients seemed, very unstable. Not all powers were rendered unusable- there was a being held in the area whose entire existence depended on magic. If the facility was as perfect as her superiors liked to claim, odds were he wouldn't be able to exist. Not that she was in any position to question exactly how the men in charge had found their means of creating her workplace. As things were, she was more than positive that they'd had to tap into some dark forces to do so.

To stop demons, you need the powers of a priest. To backlash magic, you need the magic that counteracts it. For all she knew, "The Place" was as unstable and unpredictable as a hurricane. Once she had the restraints and the chains needed to hold him, she made it back to Slenderman's room and made her way inside. He was still patiently standing and waiting for her, and upon seeing the restraints he held out his wrists. He knew the routine. She immediately got to work on securing him. The cuffs were put onto his wrists and ankles. Chains were attached to hold the wrist and ankle restraints together. From there, he clipped the "Leash" to the chains, and she gave a pull to make sure all was properly done. When she deemed him secure, she pulled once more and motioned for him to follow her to the door. He obeyed, and a couple minutes later she had him out of his room and in the hallway. In the end it took a couple of tries to get him out, because the door tried to shut and caught on the chain she used to lead him. Once she was in the hall, it was simple enough to lead him to the medical ward. He knew the way, and didn't cause a ruckus. She was pleasantly surprised to bump into one of her co-workers, Stacy Hurdles. The woman also had a patient who needed to be taken in for a physical.

(Y/N) new that patient well enough, as he was a relative of Slenderman. Sexual Offenderman- the only of the slenders who's stories revolved around heated sexual encounters. He was as securely restrained as her patient, but dressed much differently. He wasn't even dressed in the clothing he was typically described as wearing. No fedora, so his bald head and sharp-toothed maw were in plain sight. Rather than a trench coat, he wore what appeared to be a pair of sweat pants and a shirt. Both were black so they stood out against his paper-white skin. She wasn't surprised to see the pair of slenders eyeing each-other, she was well aware that the beings could communicate mentally. They were most likely conversing about their current situation, or looking into how well each-other were being cared for. She and Stacy on the other hand, had to speak verbally.

"How's the patients (Y/N)? I saw Ray a little while ago. She told me one of the higher ups had you're schedule locked. What gives?" Stacy inquired curiously as she eyed her coworker, who sighed and shook her head.

"Just a bit of trouble with Eyeless Jack.. He's not eating properly. You know about his diet, right?.. Well, long story short the food he's been living off of's been making him ill. I put in a request for that to be taken care of, and the higher ups accepted- but I've got to bring him foods more suited to his taste until it can be sorted out." (Y/N) explained in a calm tone, not really caring if either of the slender beings were paying attention to what she was talking about. Odds were they were already aware of Eyeless Jack's stomach issue- it would have been hard for them not to know, considering all the patients are released to the courtyard on a regular basis. She'd seen Jack "Talk" to Slenderman on more than one occasion. Stacy appeared to be intrigued by what she'd been told.

"Well, why didn't you just take him to the medical ward for treatment? They probably have something that'll deal with nausea." Stacy stated in a curious tone, only to pause her movements for a moment when they reached the double doors that led into the medical area. She handed her coworker Offenderman's lead, before she proceeded to get the doors open so they could head inside.

"I almost did, but Jack panicked. When I told him I was gonna send him to the medical ward, he attacked me." (Y/N) said in a bitter tone as she led the slender beings into the medical hall, before handing Offenderman's lead back to Stacy- who by then had adorned a shocked expression.

"You're kidding! (Y/N), how the fuck are you alive right now?!" Stacy snapped in a startled tone, clearly surprised at how her coworker had managed to survive being attacked by one of her patients. Eyeless Jack was well known for his reputation of eating people. To demonstrate how well she knew the information, the female reached to lift (Y/N)'s top in search of wounds. More accurately, she was checking to see if her teammate had lost any organs during the incident. In response, the woman sighed and squirmed a bit to cover her exposed skin- she didn't want Stacy seeing her bruises.

"No, I'm serious. Jack attacked me in a panic after I told him I was gonna send him to the ward- but I managed to convince him to let me go... I talked him into making a deal. So long as he eats and gets better, my remains are his once I kick the bucket." (Y/N) explained, only to pause again upon reaching the entrance to the medical room they were looking for. This time, she handed Stacy the lead, then she moved to get the doors open. As expected, there were a few medical personnel waiting for them to arrive. The woman led the slender beings into the room, and shook her head tiredly. She'd most likely overexcited herself upon hearing her coworker's story. That paired with the stress of helping with physicals was enough to wear anyone down. With a sigh, (Y/N) and her teammate moved away so that the medical workers could perform the initial parts of the physical. While that was being done, she and Stacy had to fill out a bit of paperwork. They were given the required forms, and then they sat and proceeded to do as was needed...

Two things:
1. This is flipping amazing. I'm now watching you for this stuff.
2. Do you mind if this is used by others? This AU, I mean. Now I want to make tsundere reader take care of Jeff, Ben and Toby. Or perhaps an anylist with a kind disposition taking care of Trender, smiledog and Sally. The posibilities are endless.

1. Thank you dear~ I'm glad you like it. Chapter 7 is being worked on, but I'm being a tad slow because we're in the process of moving.
2. I don't mind at all dear. As is, I'd be upset if people thought this kind of a plotline was off limits just because I went with it. There are a dozen ways to play out the same underlining pot, its not as if you'll be flat out copying what I'm writing. If you want to use the AU, go right ahead.
