Chapter five
Calmly, she strode down the many halls- her paperwork held securely under her arm as she walked. Eventually, she came to a large pair of doors- doors that led to one of the biggest rooms in the building. The only rooms larger than it were the cafeteria, the infirmary, the tech room, and the gym. All of the other rooms were smaller- smallest actually being bathrooms, but that issue was fixed by having around fifty bathrooms available to the workers. Patients had their own. Once at the doors, she quickly pressed a button on the side to request entry. She was allowed in a minute or so later, and so she stepped into the room to have the doors shut and lock behind her. Upon entering the room, she met the faces of the seven men who were in charge of the facility. Listed from highest rank to lowest, they were- Neil Stolz, Leeroy Invidia, Jacob Colere, Isaac Acedia, David Yogsim, William Craos, and Edward Nytelse. In the end it was Mr. Acedia and Mr. Stolz that she had come to visit, seeing as Stolz was the big boss and Acedia was in charge of keeping track of all the paperwork. She strode towards their U shaped desk and immediately set the paperwork down in front of Mr. Acedia, who raised an eyebrow up at her curiously.
"These are all the forms I filled out while with patient J. Eyeless." She said calmly as she looked at Acedia, who scoffed and pushed the paperwork towards her.
"I don't see why you brought me these. You know you turn them in to the tech office- that's where they get sorted." Acedie said irritably as he looked at her, before he sat back in his chair to wait for her to leave. However, she had other plans. She deftly pushed the papers back towards him, then stood with her arms at her sides to stare the man in the face. One of the other men snickered as her behavior.
"I'm here to request form 34-A. I'd like for patient J. Eyeless to have first pick of my organs come my death- so long as my body isn't too badly mauled." She stated sternly, before she fell silent and watched as the man she was speaking too raised an eyebrow. After a moment, he sighed and shook his head before he slowly rose from his seat and walked off into another room connected to the one they were in. Upon returning, he sat down and placed a single sheet of paper in front of her. Then, he placed a pen atop the paper, and he sat back to wait for her to fill out the form. Calmly, she took the pen and bent over the table slightly so that she could read the form, and upon hitting the point where she was asked to list the names of the patients she'd like her body to become food too, she quickly wrote down "J. Eyeless", before she began to sign her name in the needed spots.
"I am permitted to add names to this as I see fit, correct?" She asked boldly as she signed, before she took the paper and handed it over to Acedia to inspect.
"So long as you're alive, you can change anything you want. But once you kick the bucket, you're mutant chow." Acedia grumbled, before he stood and carried the form back to the room he'd brought it in from so that he could file it. A digital copy would be loaded onto the database later. She rolled her eyes inwardly, before she turned to address the highest ranking of her superiors.
"Excuse me, Mr. Stolz, but I have business with you as well." She addressed him calmly, and with a formal tone before she fell silent. He gave her a nod and motioned for her to continue, but she waited for Acedia to return to his seat before she proceeded. She didn't want him to interrupt her. Once he was back where he belonged, she cleared her throat and took a deep breath.
"I have to request that patient J. Eyeless be put on an organic, meat based diet." She said sternly, her eyes locked with Stolz, who studied her intently.
"Now where do ye get off with a demand as stupid as that?!" Yogsim's angered voice suddenly sounded off, catching her off guard and making her flinch as she snapped her head to the side to look at him.
"I have half a mind to tuh cut off his meat supply completely ye little-" He tried to shout at her, only to cut himself off abruptly when Stolz slammed his hand on the table to catch his attention. For a moment after that, Yogsim cleared his throat awkwardly as he settled back into his chair, then she hesitantly turned her attention back to Stolz, who was steadily glaring at his subordinate. After a short time, the male turned his attention to her.
"Please explain the reasoning behind your request, Ms. (L/N)." Stolz said calmly, his voice laced with authority as he spoke to her. Upon being given the request, she took another deep breath to calm herself.
"Yes, sir... Patient J. Eyeless is, having some trouble processing the current meats we're giving him. He's recently informed me that it makes him feel sick, and that for him to keep it down he has to cook it. Which, is a pretty big problem considering his stomach is more designed for digesting raw meats..." (Y/N) said calmly, before pausing to make sure she was allowed to continue. Stolz offered a nod.
"To cut to the chase, if this continues he will wind up with a number of medical problems. Malnutrition being one, and long term digestive issues a high possibility... Based on what we know of his history, we know his body is accustomed to digesting unprocessed foods. He did his own hunting and provided for himself. There were no-" She put forth some of her argument, before Stolz raised a hand as a signal for her to fall silent. She did so for fear of provoking his wrath. He wouldn't tolerate disobedience from his workers, and she didn't want to find out what would happen if she didn't do as was instructed. She watched him intently as he turned to look at Craos, who was busily chewing on a protein bar.
"Hn, Craos, give us your perspective. You're the one in charge of anything related to the health of the patients. Is her request, understandable?" Stolz addressed his subordinate, who finished his bite of food before sitting forward to respond to his superior.
"Well, givin that Eyeless Jack's a hannibal an feeds on organ meat, and that his diet really was built around the premise of fresh, unprocessed foods, its understandable that he's got him some tummy trouble. All the chemicals in the meat we've been givin him has probably been wearin him down, and given that the amount of chemicals an additives have increased drastically in the forty or so years I've been workin here.. I'd say its aboot time the ol guy started to get sick..." Craos said calmly, before he paused a moment to bob his head with a slight nod.
"If memory serves, that ol guy's been here thirty-nine years. He was brought in only a year or two after I took up this position. Given that he's been here thirty-nine of the seventy-five years this place has been, over half as long as this place has even existed, I'd say he's due some special treatment." He added after a moment, before he fell silent and waited for Stolz to think it over. Around a minute passed before the main boss decided to speak up.
"So, you believe her patient requires the diet she's requesting?" Stolz asked calmly. Craos nodded in response and picked up his protein bar.
"Stolz, that ol guy's been needin a better diet the past twenty years or so. I just decided to let him figure out he needed to ask if he wanted it." Craos said bluntly, before he took a rather large bite of his protein bar. Stolz offered his subordinate a slight glare at his response, then turned his attention back to (Y/N).
"Alright Ms. (L/N), it seems your request is valid. I'll see to it that Yogsim has a supply of organic meat ready for your patient within the next two weeks. Until then, I expect you to see to it that he stays in better health. Bring him pre-made meals. I'm going to arrange to have your schedule remain the same as today until the appropriate food has arrived. I will tell you personally when that happens... In the meantime, I suggest you get to your next patient. No doubt he's concerned as to why his caretaker is so late.. That'll be all." Stolz said calmly, his voice laced with authority as he motioned towards the doors. She wasted no time grabbing her notebook so that she could turn and leave, then she immediately headed for the break room so that she could prepare to visit her next patient. She could only hope she hadn't kept him waiting long enough for him to get hungry...

Ah, its basically a secret that stares you right in the face but you don't notice it unless ya look.
Like how Rapunzle shows up in Frozen, or how Nemo shows up in Brother Bear.

I don't think so.
They all have last names with a particular meaning, and if you pay attention to the nature of the men that talked you might be able to figure it out.
