You say that this work is intended for use on dA only, but you posted it to your Tsu (where I found it). Is it alright if I post a colored version to my Tsu and my dA?

Oh for sure, post it anywhere you want as long as there's credit. Sorry the description is really old too, I'll update it.

#Stunning job on the attire! I admire how many intricate details you put on the belts, and the wings are just magnificent! How on earth did you make the dress ruffles so charming!?

Wow this picture is beautiful! All the little details are just amazing!
I might try to color this, but it'll probably just end up being practice as I don't think that I could do it justice with my current level of expertice

It's beautiful..
I aboslutely need to try colour it, if it's okay with you.. ^^
And don't worry about those red bullet conditions...
I only use SAI and Photoshop CS serie. I'm not interested in making prints.
And I don't use anything but deviantart to display art on.
If I'm allowed to use this beauty piece of art, I will either write it as a collab or however you want it to be written..

Oh yeah it's fine, no need to ask really as long as people just follow the rules. I'd like if they didn't have to be as strict but some people really haven't had any courtesy to credit me properly in the past, or uploaded the line art with only 1 pixel block of colour on it, which was no different to just re-uploading the line art itself.
Yeah it would be known as a collab, you're welcome to colour just please take your time with it - no rush. xD

Oh yeah, Almost forgot...
Here's a little tip!
If you want more people to try and colour these linearts, that you make, in the future...
Upload them as png files and without background.. that way it's easier to colour..

I always upload my stuff as png files, I'm not sure why this one wasn't. In any case though I don't like to make them transparent because it makes life easier for art thieves who have little knowledge with programs to rip it off really, plus it always has these weird blacked out preview images. I can't prevent thieves entirely but the more work they have to do to steal something, the less inclined they are to take it. There's ways to separate the line art from backgrounds in any given program, like in GIMP all you need to do is right click -> colour -> colour to alpha and now it's transparent lines on it's own layer. There's many tutorials for each different program. Sorry

Btw I can't make it color to alpha just like that...

Gorgeous. I really like the busy yet controlled and tight linework. The really intricate linework on the piece on her midriff is lovely.

I love it. Absolutely beautiful work of art. Resubmitted but loved all over again. Hey, what did you use to sketch her out and clean her up?

Spudfuzz In reply to Abetwabe [2012-07-19 23:23:36 +0000 UTC]
Thanks very much!
Uhm I drew up her very basic pose on paper + pencil, scanned her in to GIMP 2.0 then made a few sketches over to add all the detail. Once the lines were good I erased all the messy "hairs", put a new layer over it and "inked" it with the paintbrush tool and the eraser. Hope that answers the question.
