Here’s my little broski finally legitimately cosplaying as Canada!I wasn’t going to slave over a sewing machine for something he’d wear once or twice, so thrift-cosplay it was. Took in the jacket a bit, added fur (ugh 5th cosplay with faux-fur) and made those straps. Also greatly improved the Canada-curl so it stays up on its own without any sort of pins. This outfit of Canada’s changes ever so slightly in all of the official art that is shows up in--which isn't much--so we just kind of picked and choose what we thought looked good as far as boots, fur color, pants color, etc. etc.
This was also a very inexpensive cosplay.
Tie - $1, Jacket - $10, - Goggles - $4, Pants - $3 Boots - $12, Fur to add to jacket - lol half the price of the jacket :I, wig, fabric for strapes & white shirt - already owned.
Cosplay doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg! \o/

No problem!
I made them with some suede fabric I found at Jo-Ann. Just sewed tubes of them crossed them. I think there's a snap or two to hold them in place, I don't remember now how we kept them criss-crossed.

Your hard work has definatly paid off. I am quite surprised, though: this is the first male Canada cosplayer I've ever seen & he looks so great in this! Not to mention he looks rather cute too

This is amazing! My cosplays are already coming to be expensive. I'm curious though, and this may be a dumb question but how did you do the curl? I plan on cosplaying Canada for an upcoming con and that is the last thing I need to do but I don't know how to go about doing it and I'm really fond of the way this one looks. Help or an explanation would be much appreciated.
