Thank you, but I can't take much credit for it - I was just in the right place at the right time. At sunrises like that sometimes I'm so spellbound watching it that I almost forget to trip the shutter release.

I just felt in love with this place!
Where is it? I must go there someday!

This was taken at the north end of Blue Bay on the Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia. There's definitely much beauty to be seen in & around Sydney, but like any major city there is plenty of ugliness too (I'm just not my thing to capture it).

I've been trying to catch that glow on snow at sunset/rise.. how do you do it?

Well, it's not too difficult catching it as a reflection on water - you just turn up at the right place at the right time, position your tripod just so (I prefer the vivid colours shooting into the sun but I've seen some fantastic subtle hues in others' shots pointing away from the sun) and trip the shutter release. Also, the right clouds at dusk & dawn make a huge difference as they reflect & scatter the light creating those wonderful twilight tones, like the glow you see on the underneath of the clouds here. Without the clouds you end up with beautifully smooth tonal gradations but fairly boring & featureless skies (in terms of colour).
I couldn't really comment on snow specifically - there's not a lot of it where I live (Sydney, Australia). But a few others that I've been following have amazing alpen glow shots, capturing the that awesome mountain light, Galen Rowell style. You should check out:
