Description "Squibs, a nautical species, a mixture of squid and mammal DNA."

Squibs need a water source to keep themselves moist! But they can also be out of water.

Squibs mimic other creatures mimicking their color pallet and pattern.

If threatened, squibs can "ink," much like their squid cousins.

Squibs can be acquired through these ways:
-Adoption
-Custom orders
-MYO Slots
-Events

Wait is a baby squib the size of a squibble? Weird and very random question but I am really curious.

A mane made entirely out of flowers would be an Ultra rare elemental trait!

can the white spots (paw/belly) be a off white or do they have to be ffffff blank white?

It can be off white, as long as it looks white/very pale for the most part!

Can squibs have multiple eyes?/multiple ears? Can they have horns and ears at the same time?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

xStereoKittenx In reply to xStereoKittenx [2018-05-23 18:26:27 +0000 UTC]

Also are wings a mutation?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SquibDex In reply to xStereoKittenx [2018-05-23 19:26:15 +0000 UTC]

All the mutations are listed here! Mutations List
- Squibs can have both multiple eyes and ears, though both are rare mutations.
- Yes, they can have horns and ears at the same time.
- Wings are a mutation, large wings a Squib could fly with are ultra rare meanwhile small, decorative ones are rare.
Hope this helped! ^^ <3
Also, as of right now you're able to use the mutations as normal traits without purchasing an upgrade. We're working on the prices for it. c:

I read the species references and traits guides, but I still have some questions:

- how many tentacles can a squib have? I mean, in the drawings (like here, in the guide) it shows that males have more tentacles (specifically 4 in the drawing) and females less (3 in the drawing). But, actually, how many tentacles can a squid have, on the head? Can they have more than these numbers? or less? and if yes, are they considered different levels of rarity?
- I read some comments (under some of the myos done in these days, for example) and some say that is possible for a  squib to not have white on the paws and the belly, but it's a uncommon trait. Can you confirm it?
- the tail: the things we use for the tail are alive? I mean, if it's a tentacle, a tail or a head it moves, the squib can use it (for example to swim, to grab things, etc...)? or if it's a flower, a plant, or something like that it ages (like, if it's a flower can open or close or blossom, etc...)
- their skin is like a squid, or do they have a short fur all over the body?
- the feet: squids do have little fingers or can have simple tentacles? (I'm asking because I don't get if they always have fingers and the simple 'just-tentacle' feet is only a way to simplify their feet).

(Apologies if I missed where I could have found the answers before posting the questions)

SquibDex In reply to 42Ly [2018-04-08 17:25:03 +0000 UTC]

Hi there! Thank you for the questions!
-Squibs can have up to 8 facial tentacles. This used to factor into rarity, but we decided to make it into a stylistic choice.
-Yes, it is possible for squibs to not have the designated whites. This is indeed uncommon. On the ML if you see the words "features" it is referring to the white zones.
-Yes, some tails are alive. Squibs are capable of growing tails (tentacles, for example) and have full control over them. Plants can grow and flourish and wilt and die (think of it as a symbiotic relationship between Squib and tail). Animal heads have some muscle function (open and closing eyes, moving mouths, etc). Inanimate objects, of course, are still inanimate.
-It depends on what the Squib has imprinted on! Baby Squibs are born with flesh like a a squid. Once they imprint, they can grow in fur to help mimic the thing they imprinted on (Ex: A Squib who imprints on a fluffy cat may grow in fluffy fur across their body). Arctic Squibs have adapted to have a light sheen of fur across their body to protect their flesh from the harsh temperatures.
-Their feet are also a stylistic choice. They have "tentacle feet" which are the rounded feeties with no toes. Since they are very squishy and malleable, Squibs can form their feet to look like a variety of things (paws, talons, 'hooves'). It's up to you how you represent your Squib! We want to give people as much creative leeway as possible

Ah yes, sorry, I forgot that I had read about the white parts in the mutations list!

Few more questions, sorry for bothering you so much ^^''
For the tail, how is considered a shell (like one from a snail or from a pagurus)?could it be so big that the squib could hide into it? Also, a tail made of the lower part of a seal (meaning the very end of the body with the fin) could be possible?o just the fin? and could it move, aka the squib could use it to swim?
And also, the feet could be represented as characterized by small fingers webbed? or it would be too far?

SquibDex In reply to 42Ly [2018-04-08 23:05:25 +0000 UTC]

Questions are completely fine! We're glad to help out <3
When the shell is big enough for a Squib to hide in, that would be considered as a mutation since it would have to be larger than a normal tail or body part.
A tail like that would be completely fine, and they can use it to swim!
Having webbed fingers on a Squib would be ok to me since it would seem normal with aquatic creatures, and that their tentacle feet can be formed differently.

Are squibs allowed to have horns? I saw one image on your page with horns and I'd like to add some to my own.

SquibDex In reply to ThatLigerWolf [2018-04-03 01:15:29 +0000 UTC]

Squibs are indeed allowed to have horns, but they are a mutation rather normal traits so they cannot be added to MYOs unless otherwise said.

ThatLigerWolf In reply to SquibDex [2018-04-03 01:18:24 +0000 UTC]

ok, since they are uncommon would I have to pay points?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SquibDex In reply to ThatLigerWolf [2018-04-03 01:24:31 +0000 UTC]

Usually you would be unable to buy them, but sometimes there are special MYOs or MYO add-ons where you can buy/get the mutation traits. The MYOs bought from the Squib Shop and the ones from the free MYO event do not currently allow you to buy any, sorry!

Hey there! We just did some adjusting and MYOs can now have small horns.
Medium or large size horns will be rare or ultra rare, small horns are uncommon.
Feel free to use them on your MYO, now.
