Description
This is for a new project I'm working on called The World of Dystopian Sydney where I imagine Sydney and my home in a dystopian/steampunk setting. There will be a lot of bonuses for this project on my patreon at www.patreon.com/squiddosnazz , including but not limited to a full download of the finished project (when I finish it), all of the references I use for the project, progress shots and other behind the scenes information and tutorials.I really like the bottom drawing and I'm proud of myself for being able to include a lot of detail in a small space, although it didn't come out very well in the scan. I'm not so sure about the top image, I think I need to practice with brushes a bit more.

I have to say this first page looks amazing!
The bottom image is beautiful in itself, but considering this page as a whole, I like the top image just as much or even better! The illustrations are drawn in a bold and playful manner, especially the top image. They give enough information without revealing too much. They also fit very well in the overall composition of the page.
The only thing that bothers me a little is how the bright blue text on hard lines stands out. While the handwriting and shape of your paragraph fits very well with the illustrations, I would personally edit out the lines and make the text black like the illustrations. This would create more rest and harmony in the page.
If you want to leave the text blue, you could add some blue accents in the illustrations as well to create balance in your work.
Aside from that I absolutely love de sinister and mysterious atmosphere of this world you have created! My favorite details are the writing on the buildings in the bottom image.
