The detail is thorough (like it wouldn't be) and fine. How long did this take? Just looking at this gives me the feeling like I got more to go with my detailing, and I'm the one who focuses on details, when I was with my friends that is.

I don't think it took that long probably about a night since it's more abstract than figurative. I just went through it like I was writing, just putting lines down and let myself be carried away. I think if you have the outline of something then add to it, shape it out, and put in the detail where it's needed.

Thank you very much! Oh, this little piece didn't take too long compared to the other detailed horrors that populate my small gallery.

Either way, it's still crazy!
When i draw layers upon layers to make fur etc. with pencil crayons, (it took 8 hours non stop to draw the picture of my cat Mr.B .. it's in my gallery) My freaking hand hurts for DAYS!
I become an addict of A535!!!
So I'm impressed that you choose this crazy style of art.. because it's painful to create!... at least for me!

I think I may be just a glutton for punishment! I know about drawing those layers and layers using pencil crayons, that's probably why I don't do that many pencil crayon drawings. I'm going to peruse your gallery some more!

This ROCKS! (not feeling very intelligent today so that was the best comment I could come up with, which is sad really as the pic is sooooo much better than my comment. I will go now.)

That is on beyond cool. OMGNAUTILUSSQUEEE! Or something similarly silly. The textural qualities and the sheer, mindnumbing amount of detail just blow me away.

Another wonderful pen and ink...the only thing I would suggest, is the large one on the bottom left, does not belong...where each of the others has their own "design" that one seems just a hodgepodge of shapes and lines (although in itself beautiful, perhaps as a stand alone)... just my humble opinion!!

Thank you for your comment. I had some qualms about that one on the bottom left too, and had thought of turning the whole piece upside down, but no matter how much I turned the thing around, it just didn't work out. To be honest, this piece was done in free hand, and during the wee hours.
I'll do better next time!
