Description Original lines by ~MiriKyu :

I started coloring this a while back, but it took me a while to get around to finishing it. I had fun coloring the lines.

I like the choice of colors for this picture, the blue and green shades really do create that feel of a an ocean/sea-ish theme. The shade and lighting are also placed well; I like where you placed those shines on her tail and her.

Good work.

Thank you~! I've been going through this ocean-colors-fad thing for a little while now, so I'm glad to hear it looks good.

Well I did a lot of experimenting in Photoshop on this one, so what I did may not be the most practical way.

But anyway, the first thing I did was clean up the lines kinda like in this tutorial: [link] . Then I created a layer above the line layer and then used Clipping Mask (in the Layer drop down menu). That way whenever I drew on that layer it only showed up on the lines. I had a few layers using Clipping Mask for the different colors, just because it made it a bit easier for me.

This is awesome. I'm in love with the different colors of the lines for shading. Very well done.

Thanks so much! I often seem to be inspired by tropical ocean greens and blues, but whenever I use them they never seem to come out as planned.
