Okay so. I have this Alternate Universe for Hey Arnold! that I refer to as the Darkverse and it involves monsters taking over Hillwood and a small resistance group led by Big Bob Pataki (until he dies LOL) and the story is mostly about Helga and how she has changed and it deals with hope and love and strength and I will probably never write it but whatever.

Amidst all of this is Rhonda's story, which isn't super important in the overall scheme of things, but it's a story that I personally find interesting. Both Rhonda and Helga end up as leaders of their respective groups and both have to sort of deal with what that responsibility means and the girls also have a rivalry, but it eventually turns into Helga just doing SO MUCH better than Rhonda could ever hope to do and that affects her deeply and also a lot of their friends are dead or die along the way and so there's a lot of dealings with growing up in the midst of that.

SO.

This is after Rhonda's team goes out on their first solo mission (along with the majority of their class). Everyone's about 14 at this point. Only Rhonda and Helga manage to bring their teams back in one piece. Every other team suffers casualties. Those who make it back are rewarded with a crapload of booze because Bob is a really irresponsible leader.

So everyone gets drunk and miserable and they try to pretend that they're actually not scared shitless, but they are 14 year olds pretending to be soldiers and it's not an easy thing to deal with.

Anyway, this is just Rhonda and her team making their way back to base. They're kind of banged up, but they're alive. For now anyway.
