I think your style would look really cool as comics-- the best stuff I'm reading lately is from Lynda Barry and art spiegelman, and they're mostly telling true stories from their own lives...

i've always wanted to learn to draw caricatures. i found a website that taught you the basics, step by step, and then all of a sudden, it's like "if you want to learn more, buy my book!" and i was like "oh, dammit". so that never happened.

i was going to buy a book about drawing cartoons and comics but i didn't. i feel guilty if i spend money on something like that, cause then i think "well, i could buy phoenix some clothes with that money.." and i never do it. maybe one day i will

That makes sense-- that total reordering of priorities when the kid arrives-- but I hope you get to try comics at some point; I think you'd just have a natural kind of genius for it...

This is extraordinarily entertaining; I love the tension conveyed throughout, the resounding strength of what is implied, and the frog's shirt! Everything is communicated so fluently and compellingly. Sui generis...

Haaaaa! I love this! I've read a reply you left where you called this "heavily caffeinated cartoon", and it's terrific description! I loved the mix between the cartoony frog and the realistic looking road-- kind of like some French comics, and mangas, but in `sphilr 's unique ways! Awesome all around!
