I was planning on commenting on one of your drawings of Doc, but then this painting caught my eye for some reason. There's so much joy here that it kind of makes me sad. Palpable beauty is intertwined with grace and unadulterated spirit so effortlessly, so masterfully. It's like her luminous gaze is making the light visible, and her gentle touch is turning it into petals. It almost seems as if she's looking at someone or something through the petals, similar to that rose-colored glasses idiom, except that these petals are not man-made-- her vision is entirely pure and honest, magical and natural. And also, the coalescence of her hair with the rays of light suggests that she has become a part of the light, and it is pulling her, guiding her, now.
Such warmth and felicity; something like a paradise...

Looks like a digital painting, or aerographer. You like to paint asian women! This make me curious, do you have some asian descent?

Maybe, way back there in the chromosomes-- I dunno. I'm half Swedish, half Italian, but my very first girlfriend in the first grade was Polynesian, and the only girl I've ever been in love with is Chinese/Vietnamese...

Oh no, my friend-- you are amazing!
I've just come from a really long session with the acrylics, Jane, and I gotta tell ya, I love them extremely... These are Golden brand acrylics, and the pigments are just dazzling beyond belief... I think I'm really close to finishing!

Only an truly dedicated obsessive would take such pains with rose petals, and to such beautiful effect. Her face is guiless, a vivid dream.
I've found that time can take memories of loss and pain and almost turn them into candy, when we look back on them in the context of today's sorrows. Time is such and odd thing, and we're such odd beings occupying it.
Thanks for continuing to knock beautiful holes into the space/time continuum, brother
