I bought the case itself at a random shop, the eagle was a SS SchirmmΓΌtze adler supposedly meant for the SchirmmΓΌtze as shown but it was spoilt so I glued it on the cig case...

Sure!! Think of those ankle-length, black leather, coats wore by Himmler and associates. Swastika armbands, death-head insignias, etc. Of course, the military branch of the S.S., the Waffen S.S., had to trade in their shiny, black coats for military gray ones so as not to stand out so much. Which pays if someone is trying to shoot at you!

The whole Allgemeine SS changed to the Feldgrau system in 1941. Part-time Allgemeine-SS members still wore them but later changed to the gray ones, the black stocks all went to Netherlands.

I'm not really entirely keen on a lot of militaria anyway, but I've never seen an SS peaked cap with a chin-strap in that style. Most of them I've seen with the white/silver rope...
