It really depends what defines the word "Nazi" Not all Waffen-SS men were politically fanatical. I am not saying that it was clean either but not all were Anti-semitic men as well. Are you a soldier yourself? When I was a soldier, I never cared about politics at all, all I cared for were my buddies, friends, loved ones and off days. Besides did they have any choice at all? Besides this photo has no Waffen-SS personnel, its all but Heer officers having fun on a BMW R75. Who cares about politics when you are fighting for your own life with bullets flying above your head?

That word "Nazi" weren't even known by the soldiers. Their enemies used the word "Nazi" to brand them. Technically within the German military, National Socialists were not very popular people due to their irrational beliefs. Besides it was heavily discouraged for military personnel to be involved with politics. It's just like the Nazis calling the Jewish population as "Rats" same concept. You people obviously aren't rats! but God's people! Though I may be interested in the Third Reich, but I'm actually very pro Israel.

But itΒ΄s not a fake, my greatgrandfather was also in the Wehrmacht and I saw pictures of him, when he had so much fun with his comrades...when they played cards or saw the girls^^
Actually being a "Nazi" meant at that time, being part of the Nazi-party, and everyone who wanted to be important or soldier had to be in that party. But that didnΒ΄t mean they were racists.
Think about the Olympics 1936 in Berlin, although Hitler ruled already, all the Germans horrayed for Jessi Owens a black runner from the USA! In fact, the Nazis, compared to the Germans the centuries before, were very ungerman!

Yes but the people of today, especially the ones, which didnΒ΄t live at that time^^, say all Germans were evil monsters.
As far as I know it was like that:
The normal front-soldiers were honest and fair-fighting soldiers,
as far as the war allowed it. The real criminals were the "cleaning-troups" coming after the Wehrmacht-front-soldiers in the conquered territory and building the camps.
While the great men died at the cold front, the camp-leaders sat in the warm offices and killed jews.
But to say all Germans were like that is a shame! The Germans were so ashamed about what happened, that they lost nearly all of their patriotism till today. We have monuments and strict laws against that ideology and every child knows what happened and that we must be tolerant today.

Yep I'm totally aware of it. I can relate to the Holocaust victims as well. Imagine if somehow National Socialism wasn't quivered, yes I do understand that there are still right winged German political parties, it would have been worst, some radical people worshiping Hitler's grave, monuments etc. Influencing the future generation that what was done was right. Take Japan after WWII for example, very different approach taken by the Americans there. Looking at another point of view, things had to happen for reasons.
