It takes a while for Rome to totally open up to someone. (this is a cancer zodiac pun) Crabs have a hard shell to protect a soft underbelly- which is the perfect way to describe Rome. He's tough at first, which can come off as stubborn, but once you get to know him he's a good cat. He's just not someone who likes to share things, he likes to keep things to himself. Loyalty is an unwavering trait in the hunters, and like most cubs born into the program, was adopted by Rome. He's loyal to the bone, to his family, and what he believes in. But sometimes you can bee too loyal, and he tends to blindly trust anyone in the hunters. Stubborn is something expected, almost, from a cub. He likes to do what he wants and doesn’t like to budge. He doesn’t like to talk to others too much, either.

    Volan’s paws were starting to ache, from the cold of the icy floor. But they’d be out soon, or in the middle like the ghost said, to team up with other cats. They couldn’t get there fast enough it seemed, this maze was so big and compared to it they were so… small.
They’d been trailing behind, still wanting to monitor the fog. They also didn’t trust this… ghost cat. What if she was actually leading them right to Oordeel’s waiting claws? It didn’t matter- they’d end up there sometime anyway. They sighed, watching the cats in front of them. They were all so- chatty wasn’t the right word- easily trusting? Sociable? They didn’t know, they just knew they had quickly began to rely on each other and maybe bond over this stupid maze. But they had to, this was still a life or death situation- it wouldn’t hurt to have friends.
    Volan wasn’t paying enough attention to the ghost- wasn’t paying any attention at all, when they halted, and disbelief, shock, and similar emotions passed over the other cat’s faces. Volan stopped, looking towards the ghost cat, just quick enough to hear, ‘Will you abandon them in this maze’. They turned to the cat whom was clearly struggling, and froze.
    Helena. That was- there was no way- she shouldn’t have been alive, much less here. Volan had killed her- she was dead. Dead but here? As a ghost? Volan couldn’t help it, curling a bit and bristling. Helena has no business here- she should have died in that mountain pass and stayed dead- they didn’t want- they couldn’t have her ghost here. Through the anger and fear that swelled up in their throat- they managed to grasp what other cats were saying.
    Once they grasped the words, they relaxed a bit, looking past the ghost and- oh. It was all an illusion- a stupid illusion by Oordeel to mess with their heads. And the bastard- he knew enough about Volan to choose Helena? If he was looking for a sad reaction- no. Ignoring her yells, Volan moved forward towards Klari and Werner- Midas looked like he wanted to just tear Klari apart.
    They slid up next to her- covering their claws in shadows to keep a grip on the icy ground. Orian was yelling- Volan couldn’t pick it up. They were not going to hurt each other. It was one of Oordeel’s tricks, why couldn’t he see that?
    “Midas, it’s - It’s not what you think!” They tried, trying to give Klari or Rev or Orion some time. “You see your mother- I see a cat named Helena. I get it, you want to save it, her, whoever it is- but you can’t. It’s just Oordeel messing with us.”
