Description I'm starting to try and thumbnail drawings as much as possible before actually starting on the painting process. My original idea was to have a girl sitting at a bar with a happy smile on her face. I was listening to a lot of Tim Buckley, so I guess I'll blame his ghost for altering the image into a gas-masked searcher. On the whole I'm fine with it, and I only neede to use two different colors, yay!

Watercolors.

Weird and interesting imagery. Nice form and fine colors. I really like the use of space in the painting. Well done.

I don't know what it is but I really love how you have the head turn with the neck details shown and the color scheme. very lovely.

Ooh complimentary colors. Gasmasks always make for interesting artwork. This is really cool, although a girl at a bar would be equally cool as well.

Yeah, I'm going to make a concious effort to do more girls and more bars, I gotta get off this apocalyptic imagery thingy.

Nice job! Especially with such a limited pallete. I really like the lighting on the gas mask in particular.

Thank you much. I just wish that my camera liked taking pictures of watercolors... its all blurry and not cool.

I have that problem too. One way to improve that is to take the photo outside (esp. when it's overcast out). Sunlight is just so much brighter than any house lights.

Also - interesting concept.

I'm willing to try at least.

But I think its a fundamental problem: digital devices just aren't designed to properly display physical media. You know? Digital Artwork is naturally brighter, and higher contrast. They're made to be displayed on monitors which emit light. However, physical replications of digital art never look all that great to me.

I don't know. It's late, I've written enough.
