Decided to expand the size comparison chart somewhat, starting with Corpus ships and Grineer Fomorians.NOTE - All these sizes are EXTREMELY approximate, based on guesswork, in-game measurements, and concept art. Sizes may vary based on how and where they are represented, so these values aren't meant to be taken as absolute.

Hmmm...pretty dinky compared to some sci-fi franchises...but believable. I feel the Obelisk should be bigger. Cargo ships are generally the largest of all vessels in any fleet, space faring or seafaring.

I mean, other sci-fi franchises frequently travel between star systems. Warframe's universe has only attempted travel to one alternate star system, and no human has ever set foot there. It doesn't have entire solar systems' or galaxies' worth of people or resources it needs to transport. With only 8 major planets and a few moons and asteroids to go around, it wouldn't make sense for the size of Warframe's ships to rival that of a ship that needs to put all the metal mined out of 7 planets in its cargo bay.

People seriously underestimate how much resources are out there in JUST our solar system. So many sci-fi franchises have no sense of the scale they're working with.

Well yeah, I'm not saying there's not a lot of stuff, but they don't need to transport it all at once. A truck carrying water doesn't need to worry about storing the entire ocean in it, does it? That would be ridiculous. Things should be in, more or less, a proportion to the amount of stuff they need to carry. You don't need to harvest every asteroid in one go. Unless the resources of one solar system is a small amount for you, which it's not in Warframe, you don't need a ship that can fit a solar system.
