I was thinking... this would also work for backgrounds made with Paint? I mean, use backgrounds made with Paint or Paint.Net as references?

Oh... wow... o-o! I've always wondered how this was done from actual photo stock. Thanks for sharing one way to go about it. This will be helpful, as I'm trying to learn to do backgrounds. ^^

i said maybe but welcome

Anyway, do you think can you make the same tutorial, but when you make your own scenery? i mean, without using photo stock.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

starca In reply to alvarobmk123 [2013-04-21 15:59:27 +0000 UTC]

The technique is basically the same. You can see the step-by-steps in my gallery for an idea.

alvarobmk123 In reply to starca [2013-04-21 16:10:07 +0000 UTC]

by the way, in step 3, after smudging step, there are too many red points, it's a bit confusing for me

can you explain me on a specific way, please?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

starca In reply to alvarobmk123 [2013-04-22 09:32:39 +0000 UTC]

it's how the "dots"of the bushes go ˆˆ'(for the shades bigger/more in the bottom and smaller/fewer at the top while for the lights it's vice-versa)

starca In reply to alvarobmk123 [2013-04-22 10:00:29 +0000 UTC]
