Description
This is my picture dedicated to the fight for a cure against AIDS. It is a disease that kills far too many. The biggest key is awareness and safety. The only way is prevention until we find a cure. HIV/AIDS is a currecnt struggle for those who live day in day out with it. Sadly other countries do not have it as good as America. While Americans have the money and resource in order to make medicine that prolongs lives....many other countries are unfortunate and have no resources.Bushs plan for abstinence only(bush is against sex education and the promotion of condoms) he is only making it worse. Sure teach kids abstinence, hope they will listen, but in the end you can not only force one thing down their throats and expect no kid to walk a different path. So in order to protect everyone there needs to be information, more openly information for the youth so they understand the truths...This disease is beyond powerful, but with knowledge and teaching there is a way to prevent it. Just be smart.
Hopefully we will find a cure in the years to come.
Dedicated to all those that struggle and all those whom lost their lives to this battle.
[This is representative to the "attack against AIDS" the red and white cells....red for aids awareness. ]

well thank you very much. I appreciate the fav. I need to start doing more of my conceptual pieces. I really love to do them because they actually mean something to me. I think AIDS is a thing that needs more awareness. There is alot of awareness, but mostly teens think they are invincible. And Americans do not seem to pay attention to what goes around in other countries and what Bush has promised to Africa only to let them down. Its a sad state in other countries. Again thank you

I think its funny..... not this.... but that bush pulls all sex ed, i read this, and then 6 months later i am reading about the exponential spread of std's or stv's i dont know which....i mean this guys a fucking idiot. when the mass media is saturated with sex what do you think the kids are going to go and to.... become good little fundamentalist christians and abstain till they get married please come on now... this is a great piece and carries great meaning... if only your president wasnt a complete wanker (its not your fault)

Yeah bush is completely messed up. I have no clue where he gets the hypocritical ideals. I think condom promotion(in a sense of teaching) is a good thing, it makes it better for those who will have sex either way. His abstinence only programs are not ever gonna work. thank you for your comment

bush is a sad case and i dont know what the hell he is up to it never seems to satound me.... like kids need to know about sexually transmitted diseases, condoms are not just for stoppinmg pregnancy, u know i would rather get pregnant than aids, of hep c or clamidia...

Yeah and meanwhile AIDS is spreading rampantly in Africa while they are forced to spend three times as much on "debt" to the first world as they are on all of healthcare. As far as the shot, I think the sunlight worked out really well (I'm a fan of natural lighting) and the paper does have a look to it resembling something alive, strangely enough. This has a sort of dual meaning to it, HIV attacking a white blood cell as well as awarness attacking HIV.

i really like it. especially the fact that you can look at it and it just looks like a random snapshot... but then you read the description and you get a completely new perspective on it.

thank you. I sorta wanted it that way. Of course I was not completely happy with this image. I took a few shots but lighting wise I wish it were different. I am too lazy for a reshoot, as my concept is already out, which is what is most important on this piece, to me anyway. And Id probably get the same results since I have no real lighting.

yup neither do I. I might just get one of the lighting guys at my store to help me find a set up that would work without buying 'real' studio lights, because after all they are all created out of the same things...light and metal

i'm sure you could spend 50$ at walmart, and in EFFECT, make studio lights. i'm sure the different bulbs (and perhaps some light filters) could create a semi-good set-up.

Well see I work at lowes so I can get an ok discount on some electric stuff. I might just learn how to wire and make my own thing from scratch. Like get some standard light poles and wire them through that and then just get some high voltage. I think it would only cost like around 50 bucks.
